Catholics wrote, compiled, canonized, and protected the NT via tradition and the magisterium.

Nowhere in the Gospels does Christ instruct his Disciples to "write" anything.

He tells them to go and teach all nations.

Having the faith to stick with Catholic Doctrine and not be swayed by the scandals of man, is the answer.
