We go through our envelopes and only give to our local parish and things like St. Vincent de Paul and local pro-life stuff.
All your non-parish funding goes through the USCCB who doles it all out to the commie and pro-abort friends.
(I don't know about the bishop's funding which stays in your diocese.)
Here is the list of organizations that USCCB gives money to:
Catholic Campaign for Human Development
Catholic Communication Campaign
Catholic Home Missions Appeal
Catholic Relief Services Collection
Church in Central and Eastern Europe
Church in Latin America
Peters Pence
Solidarity Fund for Africa
Retirement Fund for Religious
Migration and Refugee Services
People of Life
The current director of the USCCB was Wendy Davis's campaign chairman, yeah THAT Wendy Davis.
I assume you mean "Abortion Barbie"? Her flunkies shouldn't be flunkies in Catholic organizations.
For us, it’s a mission group, school and orphanage. It’s sad not to trust the Bishop but I just don’t.
It would be nice to have a name. The link does not provide that information.
Slyfox:
I am both unapologetically Catholic and have no use for Pope Francis. I too support my Local parish and Catholic Charities that I know do the work of Christ in line with Catholic moral doctrine. Local Saint Vincent DePaul is always a good one because most of the people working the local Saint Vincent DePaul societies are faithful Catholics. If my Parish priest invites a priest from another country on a mission, that Priest is always someone that my pastor knows and vouches for so I will give money to support that mission. Anything associated with the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops. No. The Popes Peters Pence, No. Not as long as Francis occupies the See of Rome.
