Years ago during a Christmas Break, my wife and I took the kids to the homes of Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Jackson, and Washington. Once we completed that trip, the only ex-President whose reputation was enhanced in my opinion was Washington. There is a lot to like about George and it did sound as if he was a pretty faithful Episcopalian.

This is akin to wasting time like trying to figure out how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
There is no answer.
We have bigger fish to fry than wasting time on idle speculations that don’t change anything.

You may not be that conversant with American culture; but there is an iconic painting of George Washington on his knee, head bowed, in the snow, praying. The painting is based on the eye witness of a local countryman who observed the scene outside Valley Forge.
Next question.

yep. Proven overwhelmingly in “George Eashington’s Sacred Fire” by Peter Lillback.
He looked at countless handwritten prayers, oaths a vestryman took in the name of Jesus, and so on.

Would that include admitting that one of the most basic reasons it was a “kick” was because you had been endowed with Unalienable Rights by the Creator, upon which truth the Founding Fathers based their entire enterprise, encoding that in the Declaration and Constitution?
Atheism has contributed nothing substantial to personal liberty for all - quite the opposite.

If it is truly salvation by Grace through faith in Christ, then all sorts of the most vile human beings may be there.
That does not mean they would not deserve temporal punishment, but that salvation is not by good works.

Does it really matter at this juncture what his religion was? We know he believed in an almighty God and acted on those principles.

The Prayer at Valley Forge by Arnold Friberg is one of the best known paintings of the American Revolution. It depicts George Washington at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania in prayer on his knees beside his horse Nelson at the Continental Army's encampment, during the terrible winter of 1777-1778.
The legendary story was told by a local Quaker Tory named Isaac Potts, who said he spied George Washington praying fervently in the woods alone during one of the bleakest times of the war for the Americans. You can learn more about the horrible conditions at Valley Forge, the alleged prayer of George Washington, including a personal testimony from someone to whom Mr. Potts told the story and the dramatic turnaround that came in the spring.

Well, the purpose of punishment is to teach. So I think their consequences in this world is their temporal punishment. And, really, that goes for all of us. :)
