I was a Catholic....I am now excommunicated....why??? I am divorced and remarried.....if I spent a high five figure amount I could be back in.....how does that honor christ
You are still a Catholic. You are not ex-communicated. Sit down with a priest and find out why this is correct. Annulments do not range in the five-figure bracket — you have received some mistaken information.
You can always worship Our Lord at Holy Mass, you are barred from Holy Communion of course. If you love Him go to Mass, if you want to complain...

The Catholic Church doesn’t charge for annulments. Originally the cost was to defray the expenses to investigate your matrimony. Now its free, so you have no excuse not to go get one.
Although, five thousand is pitifully cheap to be saved. I don’t see why you would complain about the price when the treasure of following Jesus is worth more than any price.
