This retirement appears long planned based on the info of this story. Sort of hard to pin on a “scandal” which it is not.

My take, guy’s health likely influenced him into make some bad calls, sure he owns those anyway, but it might have been less awful if Seattle had a healthy Archbishop.
Notice how Rome has moved quickly in light of these scandals. The new Archbishop just got in there as coadjutor a little over 3 months ago and He’s now running the whole show! You folks in Seattle pray for him.

Can we get things rolling here and see the church resigning all of its perverted clergy, from the top down? They really do need to clean house.
