Christian Evangelist Gary Ray believes the beginning of the end is set to start on September 23, when Jesus will return.
And the theory comes from a series of calculations based on the Bible.
Mr Ray says he subtracted 2017 prophetic years of 360 days as opposed to calendar years from September 23, 2017 to arrive in the Fall of 29 AD the start date for the year of Jesus ministries where he was baptised.
By analysing Biblical texts, Mr Ray believes September 23 will mark the return of Jesus and there will be a seven-year period of awful tribulations.
The reason September 23 is so important to Mr Ray is because the sun will appear in the constellation Virgo Latin for virgin, IE the Virgin Mary.
Following the solar eclipse last month, this is a sign the rapture is supposedly coming.

The Millenium is a spiritual reign of Christ that has been present in the community of Christ since Pentecost.
The Bible continually uses the terms Kingdom of God, Kingdom of heaven, Messianic Kingdom and Church interchangeably
The entire bible is amillenial and the Rapturists can only distort Revelation 20:1-6 -- note "distort" to put their 19th century rapture philosophy
============================================
Yet we need to read what the Apostles themselves were taught and what they believed
Notice that they state that the Apostles and their listeneres were in the last days or the end of the age -- because the Messiah had come
Peter never changed his mind about this - as we read in 1 Pet 1:20 Christ was destined before the foundation of the world but was made manifest at the end of the times for your sake
This is relected in Pauline epistles like 2 Tim 3:1 "In these last days" and Jude 18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
We have been in the last days since that first advent of Christ
Since the Ascension God's plan has entered into its fulfillment. WE are already at 'the last hour'. Already the final age of the world is with us, and the renewal of the world is irrevocably under way
John felt he was going through the tribulation and if anyone should know, it would be John.
....The vast majority of popular churches teach that believers will be called up to Heaven before the tribulation. Simply stated, the Bible does not support this claim. The author says - the pre-Trib rap teaching is from Satan...
In many scriptures of the Bible, there is a falling away or discussion of great deceptions that are coming to the world. It has been hard for believers in Christ to comprehend the possibility of the masses falling away from Christianity because faith has been a powerful part of society for nearly two millenniums, but we are seeing it today. Moreover, we are seeing the spreading of a seed that will cause further apostasy among believers in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior: the myth of a pre-tribulation rapture.
The not-so-simple answer is that Satan is pushing this as part of his agenda. It is Satan that rules the earth. His goal is to pull as many people away from the faith as possible, which is why he and his minions began deceiving Christians at their core starting in the early 19th century with the doctrine of a pre-tribulation rapture. He has brought about and continues to bring about waves of deceptions to pull people away from even considering the Word of the Bible, but this particular deception is to attack those who are wanting to be strong in their faith. Its designed to shake the spirits of the believers to the point of non-belief.
Think about it. If you make people believe that they are not going to face suffering, that they are special and will avoid all of the troubles that will engulf the world, then they are weakened as a result.
I’m pan-Tribulation...in the end it all pans out.
The Rap is coming again, you disbeliever
Harold Camping again. “no man know the day or the hour.”
Who died on that day ? Maybe the Lord took a handful of folks and left the rest of us sinners.
Beat me to it.
Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
The rapture is a delusion.
Then Gary Ray just discredited himself before God and Christians.
Matthew 24:36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father”
You’re right! the Rapture is over!
Hah. Tell my late grandfather that.
we can tell him when we pass away.
Our pastor used that line in a sermon talking about all of the various ideas on the end times! I’m guessing that he does have his favorite though?
When these false prophets are revealed when the day comes and goes, they then spiritualize the event. Convenient cover for their screw up.
