Francis Interview: “My Instinct and the Holy Spirit Guide Me”

He did nothing else but to continue the work of Benedict XVI, Francis said in a hagiographic interview with AdnKronos.com (October 30).

Benedict is for Francis “a father and a brother” and “holiness in person,” Francis visits him often, “There are no problems between us.”

He disclaims reports claiming that the two had been fighting over the same tomb.

For Francis, corruption is an old problem in the Church, “but the vast majority of the Church persues the right path.”

He believes that the Lord called him to do what he is doing, “Sincerely, I am not very optimistic (he smiles) but I trust in God and in men faithful to God.”

Intrestingly, Francis is only asked about criticisms referring to his famous statement about homosex-partnerships. Francis answers “that criticism can be constructive” (etc.).

He says that “my instinct and the Holy Spirit guide me.” And, “I pray, I pray a lot.”

Recalling a bishop telling him that the lockdown made people “lose the habit” to go to Church, Francis tells AdnKronos that if this people “came to Church out of habit then it is better that they stay at home.”

A good habit is called a virtue.

His only guide is his massive ego.

Got some sad news for this old boy: it ain’t the Holy Spirit. So, if it isn’t the Holy Spirit, who is it?

His instinct worships another god.

He said ‘instinct’ first.

Hmm.

As Jesus said, “How can Satan cast out Satan?”
But I see Francis pushing for gay marriage, surrendering to the Chicoms for billions in bribes, and bending over for the Muslims.

So he’s not casting out much except faithful believers.

Oh my. The traditional understanding is that scripture, tradition (the magisterium), and reason are all valid guides, but that each has known limitations so that all three should be consulted. They cross check each other. In the normal run of things, all three should be consistent. The interesting and difficult questions arise when there is an apparent conflict.

Francis has thrown out the checks and balances. He is guided solely by the whisperings of his own mind. This works if one is divinely inspired. I do not think Francis is divinely inspired.

Based on his recent pronouncements and initiatives, The Little Red Book and Das Kapital are more likely sources of inspiration.

Sorry, but there is a word that accurately describes his statement. It starts with”b” and ends with “t” and it describes the excrement that comes out of the south end of a north-bound Bull!

Let’s pray that he turns to Scripture also for advice. Bc otherwise how does he avoid just listening to his own self-reinforcing echo chamber?

The Holy Spirit IS God.

Therefore, the Pope can only be informed by the Holy Spirit in so much as what the Pope hears from the "holy spirit" coincides with the Holy Word or Holy Scripture, because...

GOD CANNOT CONTRADICT HIMSELF

but will ALWAYS CONFIRM HIS WILL BY HIS WORD.

“In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God...
... And the Word was made flesh,
and dwelt among us.”

What an insult to the Holy Spirit, and...

Liar.
