I sure wish someone could describe him for us. I am not trying to be flippant, but how can this be? For all the books that have been written, this a great mystery still?
But let's say someone came along and did just that. Provided his hair color and eye color. DOB. Address and phone. Where he's been and what he's been doing. Listed his skillsets. Described his voice. And does he cook? Own guns? Tend literal sheep? Own a milk cow? Drive a truck? Vote Trump?
No matter --- a person with such info would be ridiculed and accused of all sorts of mental issues.
A person who knew all of that would know what to expect, and just let everyone be surprised and shocked.

I reread it and found it even better the second time through. The key to it is the several contrasts it so cleverly and perceptively draws. That aspect is rather magnificent.
It is a bit rough around the edges, though: it needs editing and polishing. I might take a crack at it if the Spirit gives me the
