‘This is the first cardinal in the United States ever charged criminally for a sexual offense against a minor,’ stated the abuse victim’s attorney. Ex-cardinal and defrocked priest Theodore McCarrick has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenager in the 1970’s and will now appear in criminal court August 26 to answer the three counts of indecent assault and battery — a fate he had so far avoided.

I wonder if he’ll feign Alzheimer’s.
What I don’t get:
The powers what are will go after this guy BUT will do absolutely nothing when it comes to other high profile pedos.
Why?
I guess it is about destroying Christians but protecting their own predilections.
Because the other high profile pedos are Dems.
“ Because the other high profile pedos are Dems.”
That assumes mutual exclusiveness. I think the left infiltrated the church starting several decades ago and flooded it with dems all the way up to pope.
How is it that this homosexual has not yet been whacked in prison? Deviant nasty little demon. I hope he goes down screaming.
So is McCarrick, but he’s too old & discredited to be useful.
Isn’t he 90 years old? He’s been laicized, humiliated, isolated, lost every esteem and privilege, and now is brought into court on a “he says, he says” charge? Leave the poor man alone to repent in his final days!
The (theoretical) penance of which you speak is in no way incompatible with the demands of justice. Lock him up.
How is it that this homosexual has not yet been whacked in prison? Deviant nasty little demon. I hope he goes down screaming.

See what can happen when one has a sex addiction. I wonder if it started with porn. The thing with not being with God for eternity, his screaming in agony will last for eternity.
My pastor said that 80% of USA men are into porn. Not good.
I pray that God’s will be done, and that Mr, McCarrick repents and accepts God’s will.
That doesn't provide justice for his victim. He still needs to pay the price for his criminal actions against this victim.
I just read that a friend of his family was able to get Theodore in Fordham Preparatory School.
I see the infamous Jesuits rear their ugly heads into this man’s life at an early age.
The once revered Jesuits have been involved with more bad behavior than realized. Did Hunter Biden go to Fordham, I wonder.
What are you nuts? If this guy is guilty of molesting a child, he should be punished mercilessly, I don’t care how old he is.
He destroyed more than one man from entering the priesthood. For that matter he destroyed their faith. He use to joke about when he took retreats and assigned them to rooms. Always assigning one to his room.
Every Clergyman is, or should be, aware of fact forced sexual abuse commonly results in combination of guilt, pain and pleasure on part of the victim especially. Often the the guilt is overpowered by the feeling ofpleasure enough to seek/allow repetition until becomes an obsessive need.
Shame on any Catholic clergy who initiates such abuse.
They have needed ex communication. Every one!
And those who had power to do so, but failed, should be relieved of all authority.
And those who belong to these ungodly religious systems should stand up for God’s word and demand excommunication for those who engage and allow these abominable sins to occur over and over again. And IF these perpetrators and protectors aren’t excommunicated, then those who love God’s word should come out of the abomination, and not be associated in any way with it.
2 Tim., Chapter 2 tells us to FLEE,shun, DEPART, PURGE, AVOID, Turn away.
Chapter 3 describes these apostates:
Lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers if those that do good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness , but denying the power thereof:”
Paul did not say to stay within this apostate religious system with hopes of recovering others. He said to DEPART.
Not hang around to try to change them or wait for them to depart.
Shame on anyone who would sit around and let one abomination after another occur, year after year, and not flee the apostasy.
Catholics can fight the evil doers, yet stay faithful to the teachings and Sacraments of the Church. It is the very teachings and Sacraments that confer the ability to oppose such behaviors. Check out Ebb Tide.
No. It is God’s word that confers the ability to oppose such behaviors.
I don’t see the RCC standing up and demanding excommunication for these abominations. I see the leaders allowing it and participating in it in cases.
And I see members sit. And take it. And give their money. Which supports it, BTW.
Are members of the RCC going to roll up their carts of “knowledge” and doctrines and traditions and try to persuade God that He should judge them by their cart full of man made works?
He has ONE item on His scales of justice: His word.
You cannot win. I don’t care how laden down you are with materials from apostate men in an apostate religion.
