According to Specola, “the real end goal” is their suppression or destruction. This will happen through a more restrictive enforcement document for Traditionis Custodes, signed by the anti-Catholic Congregations for Religious and for the Liturgy.

If FSSP, ICRSP etc. are dissolved, it’ll be truly tragic, but I wouldn’t put anything past Bergoglio at this point. One of his henchmen said a few years back that PF was implementing his revolution slowly but if sensed that the end was near he’d start moving fast. We’re at that point. Fasten your seatbelts.
Before he dissolves them, I think he may demand their seminarians learn both rites of Mass and that wherever those societies offer the TLM, they’ll also have to offer a Novus Ordo Mass.
But I agree with you, I think his end goal is to wipe out the TLM forever. But that is impossible.
That’s possible, and I suppose preferable to outright dissolution. He can bully them into being bi-ritual, I guess, and that’ll certainly depress recruiting and send young men toward the SSPX. It’s very sad. The Ecclesia Dei groups stuck with Rome in good faith following the Lefebvre ordinations in ‘88. They were certainly warned that by their confreres in the SSPX that Rome couldn’t be trusted and it would be only a matter of time before they would be stabbed in the back. A third of a century later, the SSPX predictions/warnings have been vindicated.
What sets the U.S. apart from the rest of the world is that many of our churches are in buildings owned by private organizations. The Catholic hierarchy may have all the religious authority they need to shut down the Latin Mass in the U.S., but it is very easy for any Catholic group to tell a bishop to "Eff off!" and continue functioning as they did before.
