JERUSALEM—The Bible describes a remarkable event that will take place during the “last days” of history before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
It is most often referred to as the “Rapture” and it involves the sudden “catching away” or “snatching away” of true, born again followers of the Lord Jesus.
On Monday, I wrote a column about why some Christians and Messianic Jews believe the Rapture will happen one day on our around the Jewish High Holidays in the Fall.
Today, in Part 4 of this “Wake Up Call” series, let’s look more closely at the Biblical basis for the Rapture, especially since many Christians don’t understand it or even believe that it will really happen.

The rapture is a recent invention from the religion hustlers
It is gibberish.
Here is the sequence of events as I see it in God’s Word. I believe all of the following prophetic events will happen in this, the 21st Century which, if I’m right, will be the most amazing century ever.
1) A worldwide awakening of the body of Christ to the return of Gospel of the Grace of Christ (Jude 3). Underway as we speak.
2) Largely as a result of “1)”, a final worldwide incoming of souls to Jesus before it all comes crashing down (Luke 14:23). I believe we’re on the very threshold of this right now.
3) The “great catching up” AKA “the rapture” of the saints to Jesus in the clouds (the first part of his second coming) and into Heaven (1 Thess. 4:17; Matt. 24:36-41). I have reason to believe this will happen sometime during the second half of this century. Lot of reasons to think so, actually. In fact it’s amazing it wouldn’t come sooner, but I believe our merciful and loving God waits for this final harvest and rescue of souls from the unbelievably horrific and deadly wrath to come (James 5:7).
4) Daniel’s 70th Week AKA the seven-year tribulation, launched immediately on earth when the saints and the Holy Spirit are removed from earth to Heaven. So many, including many Christians, underestimate the horror and death during this short period. No one on earth will survive except for a relative handful of Jews hiding in the mountains of Jordan (Matt. 24:4-35; Rev Chapts. 6-19; Dan. 9:27). I believe this will happen sometime in the second half of this century immediately upon the event of the rapture.
5) After seven yeas exactly, the second part of the second coming of Christ with us - “ten thousands of his saints” - from Heaven to earth to execute Armageddon upon all those that hate God, and the setting up of Jesus Christ as the Prince of Peace worldwide ruler - King of kings and Lord of lords for 1000 years (Rev. 19:11-20:4).
Wow.
This century will end with Jesus himself as the worldwide ruler as the Prince of Peace. Truly amazing.
Couple of notes.
The “rapture” launches the greatest party ever - the seven-year Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Heaven with, incredibly, Jesus serving us (He always does and LOVES to) (Luke 12:37). Can’t wait for that one.
Notice that Satan, the great counterfeiter, is trying now but will fail, but will at some point insert himself as the horrific worldwide ruler during the tribulation to try to copy what God is about to do (Satan always tries to copy what God is about to do but counterfeits it).
You are right. Dispensationalism is the religious hustlers.
Here’s the factual explanation of the notion some misguided people believe about what they call the “rapture”.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE GREAT TRIBULATION AND RAPTURE
As soon as you perceive that the time for the tribulation and rapture may be near, please do the following in context with Matthew 24 (since we must maintain our scriptural foundation):
1. Locate the nearest mountain. (If you are in Kansas, sorry, but you are in serious trouble.) — “Let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.”
2. Make sure you have a full tank of gas so you can leave your city of residence — “Let those in the city get out.”
3. If you are temporarily out of town, think twice about returning home — “Let those in the country not enter the city.”
4. Make sure you live upstairs — “Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house.”
5. Don’t get pregnant — “How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!”
6. Pray it happens in the summer — “Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.”
7. Make sure you are a farmer that has his cloak — “Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak.”
8. Don’t attend a marriage ceremony — “And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage. . . .”
9. But most importantly, take your time machine back in history 2,000 years because Jesus said all prophecy would be fulfilled in his generation (Luke 21:22) and that it would happen while some of his contemporaries were still alive: “Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.” (Matthew 24:34; see also Matthew 10:23; 16:27-28; 26:64; Revelation 1:1-3; 22:6-20)

Read your Bible. I Thessalonians 4:16 & 17. The word “rapture” is not there, but the description of what “the rapture” is known as, is there. Calling it the rapture started here in the 1900’s.

In these unprecedented times, thee is no excuse for anyone to have bought into a system of prophecy that has you in a prophetic vacuum, endtime prophecy allegedly being fulfilled back in 70AD. As the preterists claim.
In these dangerous times, beware lest you be, “carried about with” such “winds of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive,” Eph. 4:14.
I think we are near that time, but perhaps there is no “taking away” ... looks to me like the Beast (Russia) and the whore of Babylon (globalism) are moving steadily towards a final confrontation, and somehow Jesus Christ returns to the earth and defeats all of them. In one way, it would make sense to remove the faithful from the scene of what would no doubt be terrible battles, to defeat both the Beast and the whore (if the Beast doesn’t finish off the whore first).
But I agree with those who say this interpretation is a modern development of Biblical prophecy discernment, and is not necessarily a correct reading of the passages. Equally plausible is that they simply mean that the faithful are “caught up” to Jesus and the angels as they return to take on the Beast. That would imply that we have a role in that battle. What concerns me is that otherwise good people have decided that the only evil is the whore of Babylon and that somehow Putin is here to do the Lord’s work. I don’t get that feeling from his overall body of work.
