The dust from the US midterm elections is beginning to settle and experts are struggling to understand the implications. While most Republicans are disappointed, for Christian leaders, the results are particularly concerning.
It is clear that the elections seemed important to voters as turnout was relatively high by midterm standards. Voter turnout was the second-highest of any midterm, only slightly less than the elections in 1970. In addition, the 2022 midterm elections were the most expensive in the history of the United States.
All 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate were contested to determine the 118th United States Congress. Voters were also called to the polls for 39 gubernatorial elections, as well as for numerous state and local elections. This was the first election affected by the 2022 redistricting that followed the 2020 census.

Getting the Gulags ready. Interesting. Back in Russia they had to build them, they went up quick, and were poorly made. In Germany they had to build the death camps. It took time, and many knew (don’t believe them when they say they didn’t).
But today, the bad guys are much smarter. They appear to be using our existing infrastructure to accomplish the same ends. As such, the people are completely oblivious to it.
So I imagine if their strategy follows, the gulags will simply be our existing prisons (as you point out).
I imagine that COVID will periodically sweep through them, killing a lot of folks. Perfectly plausible...
Dennis Prager the other day commented that, in the past, conservatives and liberals were often in agreement on what they wanted, but they had different paths to get there. Now, conservatives and the Left (not the almost-extinct old liberals) don’t even want the same things. I think the same is true between Christian voters and militant secularist voters. Even some people who think of themselves as Christians don’t allow that to influence their votes or, for that matter, their lifestyles.
Why else would they be letting all the criminals go free?

Too many woke christians out there and woke pastors taking over churches. True Christians are under all-out attack by the demons enraged over America’s historical place as a spreader of the Gospel around the world.
Europe did far more to spread the Gospel than did America. And so long as Europe spread the Gospel -- so long as European missionaries were a Light Unto the Nations -- Europe ruled the world. When it lost faith, its empires collapsed.
I don’t know if they are or not. They certainly want to. I know a former classmate, who worked for FEMA. I asked her how long it would take for FEMA to build gulags? She said, only a few weeks. They can do it, easily.
