Many believe that our Messiah, the “light of the world,” was conceived on the festival of lights—Hanukkah. The Bible does not specifically say the date of Jesus’ birth.
And that's when everybody gets to arguing about the date theories. THAT is the tradition! Tis the season!
It makes me suspect that it'll all go down in an hideous, raging inferno with the word from lowly, worldly merchants who only wish to make a buck:
