and had no power over Christians,

Well, yes, Jews at times did have power over Christians, and often abused that power, from medieval to modern times.

Read Jewish History, Jewish Religion The Weight of 3,000 Years, by Israel Shahak, a Holocaust survivor and Israeli who died in 2009.

There were six million Jewish victims in the Holocaust and they were the least of Jesus' brethren.

And somehow you associate the pre-conciliar Catholic Church with the Holocaust?

How much is Abe Foxman paying you?

I said the antagonism was mutual. At times Jews also directed violence against Christians. Such as when they opened the gates of Toledo for the Muslim invaders in 711.

Perhaps the Moslem invaders were more righteous to the Jews than the alternative. Everybody's gotta eat. And here is the rest of the story.

  1. In 409 CE, the Vandals captured the Iberian Peninsula from the collapsing Roman Empire, and three years later, the Visigoths conquered the Peninsula. Under these Germanic Christians, laws were instituted that persecuted the Jews.
  2. Following the conversion of King Recared to Catholicism in 587, and his declaration at the third Council of Toledo that his kingdom would be officially Catholic, the situation deteriorated for the Jews. Going forward, the Jews would be the only group that did not join in the religious unity of the country, and this distinction would repeatedly lead to their persecution
  3. In 612 C.E., in a horrific declaration, Visigoth King Sisebut ordered that all Jews submit to baptism within the year or undergo “scourging, mutilation, banishment, and confiscation of goods.”
  4. In 711 C.E., Muslim soldiers known as Moors crossed over from North Africa to the Iberian Peninsula. They were led by General Tariq ibn Ziyad, who advanced his army of nearly ten thousand men across the strait and landed at a location he called Jabal Tariq (Mount Tarik), today known as Gibraltar. The Moors engaged in battle with the Christian Visigoth soldiers and eventually killed their monarch, King Roderick, thus beginning Muslim rule in Spain.
  5. Since the Christians had persecuted the Jews so severely, the Jews welcomed the Muslim conquerors in the 8th century, so much so that it was said that the Jewish population of Toledo “opened the gates” of the city and welcomed the Muslim invaders. Incredibly, the conquered cities of Córdoba, Málaga, Granada, Seville, and Toledo were, for a time, even placed under the control of the Jewish inhabitants that the Moorish invaders had armed.

Recall Rome had no problems torturing and putting to death the Reformers.

The crimes of the Inquisition, while some did occur, have also been exaggerated by anti-Catholic propagandists.

Defense of the Inquisition .

Well, that's half of "the rest of the story." It was always tit-for-tat. You cherry picked the many tits, but ignored the many tats.

Perhaps the Moslem invaders were more righteous to the Jews than the alternative.

Yes, Jews picked the side that was best for them. That's what everyone does.

We must absolutely reject all of the errors of Vatican II.

We must reject Vatican II, and even more we must reject the "Spirit of Vatican II"; the cultural revolution that was inflicted on us in the 1970s. I saw it first hand, and even at a young age instinctively knew that it was bad.

Was Pope Pius XII antisemitic?

680,000 Jews.

Never forget.

Reject communist propaganda.

(but you already knew that)

Are you another Holocaust denier ?

Abe Foxman was baptized a Catholic and apparently you were too.

And I don't see much difference between the two of you in regards to lies about the Catholic Church.

There were six million Jewish victims

And there were five and a half million CHRISTIAN victims of National Socialist industrialized mass murder.

For some reason, these days, they are simply swept under the rug.

Never Forget.

It's sort of appalling that you presume to lecture on "the holocaust", but have absolutely no idea what that number refers to.

Your utter, astonishing, disgusting ignorance is openly on display.

The only "holocaust deniers" I see here are the ones who sweep under the rug the industrialized mass murder of five and a half million Christians. (That would be you ...)

Again, you miss the point. Horribly.

I’ll give you a hint:

680,000 Jews refers to something that Pope Pius XII did, not to something that Adolph Hitler did.

Something that communist propagandists tried to extinguish from memory.

And ‘yes’, five and a half million Christians murdered by the National Socialist German Workers Party isn’t “a few”. It’s a lot.

Never forget.

And the whole people answering, said: His blood be upon us and our children.
[Matthew 27:25]

But Jesus turning to them, said: Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not over me; but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
[Luke 23:28]

How Many Non-Jews Were Killed ?

Five million is frequently cited as the number of non-Jews killed by the Nazis. The figure is inaccurate and was apparently an invention of famed Nazi-hunter Simon Wiesenthal. According to historian Deborah Lipstadt, he began to refer to “eleven million victims” of the Holocaust, six million Jews and five million non-Jews in the 1970s. Wiesenthal later admitted making up the figure to promote interest in the Holocaust among non-Jews. Lipstadt, says “he chose five million because it was almost, but not quite, as large as six million.”

The number of non-Jewish civilians murdered for racial or ideological reasons in concentration camps, historian Yehuda Bauer estimates, was no more than half a million. As many as 35 million non-Jews were killed by the Nazis in the course of the war, he said.

Priests and Pastors Died for Their Beliefs

Hitler wanted to conquer all of Europe and create a new religion based on worship of the Nazi ideology. Since Catholic priests and Christian pastors were often influential leaders in their community, they were sought out by the Nazis. Thousands of Catholic priests and Christian pastors were forced into concentration camps. A special barracks was set up at Dachau, the camp near Munich, Germany, for clergymen. A few survived; some were executed, but most were allowed to die slowly of starvation or disease.

The late Prof. R J Rummel says otherwise. I view his work as comprehensive, not tied to only one act of mass murder. He was also more of an objective reporter than the people behind your source.
