Christian Conscientious Objection: Why Must We Escape? [Part 2]

Isaiah 24:1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. 2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. 3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. 4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. 5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

Why must we escape? God is preparing the world for staggering existential judgments not seen since the earth was created. Simply put, if we do not escape, we will be destroyed. Isaiah 24 reveals that the judgments coming are so severe that the earth will be emptied of inhabitants.

Jesus warned that these judgments would come upon the world like a snare, meaning that many people would be caught and unable to escape. He exhorted us to “watch and pray that we have the strength to escape” so that we will not be ensnared. If Christians can avoid being ensnared, we may be able to escape the coming judgments.

The book of Revelation also reveals the nature and magnitude of many of these judgments. Jesus said the devastation of these coming judgments will be like Noah’s day and the days of Sodom and Gamorrah (Luke 17:26-30).

Why are these judgments coming? The Lord gives us the answer to this question in verse 5 above; the inhabitants of the earth have done the following:

1. Transgressed the laws: Man has disregarded the Law of Moses and in many cases outlawed it (Genesis – Deuteronomy).

2. Changed the Ordinance: Man has changed God’s ordinance for men, women, and children. Children are being mutilated in a fictitious charade to change their gender. The ordinance of sexual relations between men, women, and children has also been breached bringing great confusion and destruction to people and families (Genesis - Deuteronomy).

3. Broken the everlasting covenant: Man has broken the Everlasting Covenant (Genesis 9:16).

What is the Everlasting Covenant? The Everlasting Covenant is the covenant God made with Noah and his progeny after the deluge in Genesis 9.

Genesis 9:16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

In this covenant God said he would not destroy the earth again under the conditions that, 1. mankind would be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth (Genesis 9:7). 2. That mankind would not consume blood (Genesis 9:4). And 3. Man would execute capital punishment for murderers (Genesis 9:6).

If mankind kept the conditions of this Everlasting Covenant, the Lord would not destroy the earth again. God set His rainbow in the sky as a sign of this conditional covenant (Genesis 9:16). Each of the families / tribes would follow God under this covenant, having their own lands and trusting in God for their daily bread. Mankind has broken all 3 of God’s conditions listed above!

God’s first condition has been broken by implementing almost universal abortion rights around the globe. Abortion is the number one form of non-natural death around the globe. It has allowed children to be killed in the womb up to the day of birth, or live birthed and harvested for body parts. Some nations even have forced abortion for anyone that has more than one child.

The United States enshrined abortion rights as a national security issue in 1974 in National Security Memorandum 200 [1]. The U.S. Government funds abortion around the globe and it ties foreign aid to those countries on their acceptance of abortion and sodomy rights. The Military offers free abortions to families of servicemen.God’s second condition has been broken by using cells harvested from live birthed children to make medicines, food flavorings, and vaccines. Once the cells have been harvested from the living children, their bodies are disposed like aborted waste material. The Military forces all members to receive vaccines derived from harvested cells from babies.

God’s third condition has been broken by not executing capital punishment for murderers. Around the world capital punishment is being outlawed for murderers. Not unexpectedly crime rates are exploding. Murderers go free after a couple years in prison, while innocent children can be murdered up to the day of birth. The victims of these crimes do not get justice in this abomination. The last capital punishment enacted in the Military was April 13, 1961. [2]

God has seen these evils. Judgment is coming. He is revoking his rainbow of mercy and grace and replacing it with a false rainbow if judgment. More on this false rainbow in later chapters.

Isaiah 24:19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. 20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. 21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.

“What is the Everlasting Covenant?”

I think the definition of that is when men call good evil and evil good.

There was no condition placed on the rainbow covenant.

Read it again. Men were told to be fruitful and multiply, not eat blood, and execute capital punishment. We’ve broken all 3. Which is why Isaiah 24 says we’ve broken the everlasting covenant.

“Read it again. Men were told to be fruitful and multiply, not eat blood, and execute capital punishment. We’ve broken all 3. Which is why Isaiah 24 says we’ve broken the everlasting covenant.”

Who is “we’? God did not use capital punishment when Cain killed Abel. People in the United States don’t eat blood. And people all over the world are fruitful and multiply. And those things are not mentioned in the description of the rainbow covenant.

It is tiring to see when someone comes up with a crackpot idea about the Bible, then he immediately garners adherents.

God made the covenant with animals also. Can animals violate that covenant? It was merely a pledge he would not flood the world again.

Isaiah did mention the everlasting covenant but that does not mean he had the rainbow convenant in mind. That is absurd.

“LOL! There is 1 everlasting covenant in the Bible. The Noahide covenant.”

Well LOL.

I am not required and have no responsibility to believe that happy talk (I looked it up) since a Noahide covenant is not mentioned a single time in the Old Testament, Jesus never mentioned it in the New Testament, neither did the gospel writers.

It was not discovered by the Apostle Paul. I suppose he erred. It was never mentioned in the traditional ancient confessions of faith of the early churches.

And the everlasting covenant is never defined as anything to do with Noah, the Noahide covenant, etc. The covenant God made with Abraham is called an everlasting covenant. But I am not sure that was what Isaiah had in mind. He basically defines, by context, the violation as a complete rejection of God.

Let me guess: some organization is espousing that nonsense and is taking donations.
