He arose on Sunday, it had to be Wednesday He was crucified, because of the way the Jews counted days and nights.
See Mark 15:42. He died on the eve of the Sabbath, so on a Friday. His body had to be taken down before sunset when the Sabbath began.
Jesus was in the tomb Friday before the sun went down, so that was day one. She was in the tomb all of Saturday, so that was day two. He arose sometime after dark on Saturday or early Sunday morning, day three.
Does it say anywhere that he was in the tomb 72 hours?
He was in the ground Friday day and Friday night, Saturday day and Saturday night, Sunday night and Sunday day
