I believe many Calvinists, including the late R.J. Rushdoony and Cornelius van Til, disapproved of the idea of "natural law" - holding, in accordance with their Calvinist principles, that nature is in a state of total depravity and that only positive supernatural law could be adduced to justify Christian morality.

I believe you are right, wideawake. I did want to get their take on this letter though. I will be doing a "roundtable" radio show for Ave Maria Radio in two weeks with Fr. Thomas Hoar, Fr. John Harvey, Fr. Benedict Groeschel, and Mark Gordon on this very writing. Need some info and ammo.
