Ron Paul's Record Online Haul
Washington Post ^ | Nov 5, 2007 | Jose Antonio Vargas

Posted on 11/05/2007 8:22:09 PM PST by this is my name not yours

Sen. Barack Obama has Oprah Winfrey, Sen. Hillary Clinton has Magic Johnson and Rep. Ron Paul, the online star of the primary race, has Sean Morley, aka Val Venis, the popular WWE pro wrestler who pretends to be an adult film star.

And like many of the Paulites, the Texas congressman's loyal, Web-savvy supporters, Morley is blogging about Paul on his own site. "I can't really say what my support means. But, you know, I first heard about him two years ago, and I've studied his voting record and I'm convinced that more than any candidate, Republican or Democrat, he's the most principled candidate out there," Morley, a libertarian, told The Trail this afternoon. "By the way, I'm at Denny's outside LAX. Here for a fight later tonight. I'm wearing a Ron Paul T-shirt. It's a great day for Ron Paul, you know."

Indeed.

Today, Nov. 5, marks not only Paul's best fundraising haul in a single day -- approximately $3.75 million by 11 p.m. EST -- but online observers say it's also the most money raised by a candidate on the Web in a single day. And the day's not over yet. "Damn. Wow. Um, that's pretty awesome," said a stunned Jerome Armstrong who served as Howard Dean's online strategist. Armstrong, the founder of the popular blog MyDD, said Dean raised as much as $700,000 in one day toward the end of the primary race. "But not a million," Armstrong added. "What Paul is doing -- or what his supporters are doing -- is really impressive."

Since Ron Paul seems to not be spending any of the money he is raising I wonder what will happen to it when the race is over?

Maybe he will buy the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company.

It’s all fiat money anyway, a single crumpled $100 bill spammed by the same Paulbots. < /Paul bashers >

He'll probably loan it to Mitt to pay off his campaign debts ROFL

Maybe he will buy the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company.

BWHAHAHA! THAT IS SO FUNNY! Did they teach you to say that during Paul Bashing 101 class?

I spammed him with $25 myself. I figured it’s really only worth about $1 after inflation.

Mitt does not have any campaign debts to pay off.

As of the end of the 3rdQ, Mitt had a whooping 9 million in cash on hand. Of course he was only in debt for 17 million. Time for Mitt to write himself another check. As someone on another thread posted, Mitt is Mitt’s biggest supporter.

One could only imagine with Mitt’s fiscal responsibity, per his campaign spending, what he would do with other peoples (tax payers) money.

What a great day for Dr Paul.

Great day indeed.

Here's a nice pic of some Code Pinkers and Truthers rallying for Paul. If you look closely you can see Al-Qaeda cheering in the background < /S >

I don’t doubt there are some reasonable people behind Ron Paul, but I don’t for one second understand their take on immediately leaving Iraq. Granted Ron had a different position there and the general WOT, then I would deeply consider him.

I can’t get past that, and I’m more of a libertarian than a conservative...atleast on currency policy.

Sturm Front is ecstatic (and drumming their fingers about how many of their fraudulent credit card donations will actually clear).

I spammed the campaign with another $50 last night. Wish I could give more.
