Ron Paul: In Your Straw Heart, You Know He's Right

Still, if the GOP is interested in actually doing something more glorious than its multi-year FUBAR when George W. Bush and the Republicans were fully in charge of the federal government, they'd do well to listen very closely to Dr. No. However rotten Obama and the Dems poll, the GOP should never think anyone believes them when they say they are the party of small government and, for god's sake, we're well past the sad-sack culture-war days of various Republican geniuses like Newt Gingrich (4 percent!) talk up flag-burning amendments (the First Amendment is not a suicide pact with square pieces of cloth made in China!)and English-only rules (because, seriously, how can you be a real American if you don't speak the mother tongue of Great Britain?). Ron Paul pulled well in the Republicans primaries and among the youth of America precisely because he offered something distinct from the sad sacks he was running against.

We need a new political party. One where Ron Paul is welcome. The anti-freedom, pro-big government Republican Party of George Bush and John McCain just needs to die.

Ummmmmmmm

Neither is she.

If she does, and she is the nominee, we won’t see the White House for a long, long time.

Yep, knew you’d go and review my posts to see what I know and what I stand for. I did figure that out from your less than coherent sentence (a la Palin). Let’s talk about geting the economy strong. What does she know about a strong military? What does she know of DoD acquisition and why it takes so long to get a weapon system developed and fielded? Everyone talks about the budget deficits being too big, including Meg Whitman and Carly Forina. Michelle Bachman is WAY more suited to the presidency than Palin. Do you think the book Game Change was only about John Edwards? The best things about Palin are her shoes and her family. She is supposed to be the advocate now for children with special needs and their families; please point to me where she has attended any conference for children with special needs, understands the special education process. I’ve been living that process for 15 years - but I’m not “running for office” as you say she is - if she really wants to be a strong voice, then she should start advocating for children to get the education they are entitled to under IDEA (if she does know what that means).
