That's ok, thanks for mentioning Sand Creek. I had to look it up to make sure we covered it. Thank Goodness Snippy keeps a list of old threads.

I don't have an exact number of what we scrapped between the Washington and London Treaties, but here's an idea. Everything prior to USS UTAH (BB-31) went. Even of the remaining, UTAH and WYOMING were demilitarized in the '30s and became training ships. LEXINGTON and SARATOGA were battle cruisers that were converted to carriers rather than be scrapped. The first WASHINGTON (COLORADO class)was sunk as a target prior to completion.

Good very late evening in Poland Matt.
I think it started long ago and I wish more people would wake up to the truth.
It's good to see you.

Some of the TV commentators have openly stated that it's the beginning of the War of the Worlds - "The Occident vs. The Orient", Christianity vs. islamMaybe in Poland but here Islam is "The Religion of Peace"(tm) as the Press and Liberals here constantly remind us.

LEXINGTON and SARATOGA were battle cruisers that were converted to carriers rather than be scrapped.Lucky for us the conversion was made. The carried the load until we geared up. A lot of countries used the hulls of eithe BB's or BC's for their first carriers.

Yeah, the Washington Treaty had no limits on carrier tonnage so it was a good use of hulls that had already cost a lot of money.
