SPECIAL BULLETIN - FREEDOM FRIDAY! (Troop Deployment)
ASYMCA ^ | 12/15/04 | Bill Vaughan

Over 500 soldiers from Fort Sill will leave us for the war in Iraq this January. It is highly likely that we will see a lot more of our soldiers deploy in the following months. The ASYMCA needs your help to let them know how much we in this area care about them.

This Friday, Dec. 17th is FREEDOM FRIDAY!

KSWO-TV is helping the ASYMCA collect comfort items for our soldiers to take with them as they leave for Iraq. Comfort items are things such as eye drops, wet wipes, gum, snack items, playing cards, etc. that they can take along with them to make their deployment a bit easier. We are encouraging people to bring comfort items to the drop-off boxes located at United Supermarket, Sutherlands, City National Bank and Best Western Hotel and Convention Center. The items will then be taken to a warehouse on Fort Sill and sorted out. Right before our soldiers get on the bus that will take them to the airport they will be able to walk through the warehouse and load themselves up with the comfort items provided.

THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO SHOW OUR TROOPS HOW MUCH WE CARE ABOUT THEM!

PLEASE HELP!

The drop-off boxes are in place now and will be through Friday. For a complete list of the drop off areas visit www.kswo.com and click on the Freedom Friday logo and then click on details for a suggested list of comfort items.

For more information or to drop off items after Friday please contact the ASYMCA at 355-5520. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR SUPPORT - AND PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL ON TO OTHERS!

We appreciate all you do to support Fort Sill soldier families! Bill Vaughan ASYMCA Director
