Money and power are pretty good motivators.

So true. That's what motivates the Rats in CA, money and power. I guess that's always the case.

Hold on radu, I'll get my '57 Chevy and cruise on down to see you!
Hope the weather is great for the Cruise-In. It's beautiful here in MO.

Evening.
Had the thoroughly frustrating experience of having some hardware be unrecognized by it's own software, but windows being able to 'see' it.
Spent all day fighting with it, but got nowhere.
Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital, it's own software could not detect it, but Windows could.
And following Logitech's suggestions on their support page discovered nothing.
It seems that no-one uses a gameport anymore as the stupid joystick controller keeps looking for a USB joystick instead.
Even though it's supposed to be able to use a gameport..

I had the same problem with a USB Headphone and mike. Windows would recoognize it and load the drivers but it never showed up as a selectable device on the Device selection page. Never did figure it out and they're sitting here unused. I hate computers sometimes.

Well, this one is just the opposite.
It's a gameport DB15 plug, which apparently isn't recognized by it's own software at all.
It seems that it's looking for a USB device instead.
*Howls*
If I had one of those nifty DB15 to USB converters that they had made for awhile a few years back, I could go that route.
But they don't make them anymore as far as I have seen.
Matter of fact, I've only seen one.
And that was a few years ago.
*chuckle*
I guess it's one way of forcing people to upgrade joysticks.

But Rogers fought for the king against the colonies but he never did switch sides. I don't know if you ever saw the movie "Triple Cross" staring Christoper Plummer which was based on a true story of a Brit working for the Germans and the Brits. At the end of the movie, Christoper Plummer was asked "whose side were you really on"? He just looked into the mirror and smiled. I think that sums up Benedict Arnold.

I wonder how well a ship like that could weather a powerful storm at sea? I think it would have a rough time.

As noted, Andre served under Clinton. Eeeew.

But Peggy seems to have served under both Andre and Arnold--yet the New York Times is mute.

Shades of Judith Campbell Exner serving under Kennedy and Giancana--and look where they wound up:

First Kennedy absorbed so much lead in Dealey Plaza it had to be emptied at Walter Reed before going to Bethesda for the autopsy.

[Using the rear cargo access panel on the Boeing 720B Tail No. 26000 used as AF 1 that day, offloading to the hot chopper on the right side at Andrews.]

Then Giancana was shot, stabbed, garroted, dismembered and found floating in the Gulf in an oil drum.

Andre was hung (and the powdered wigs were the last straw) while Benedict Arnold died in poverty and neglect.

High hair was nothing invented by the women of Dallas.

This sketch shows Andre was doing a pinch too much of the snuff, while we see below that Arnold sold his soul for Twin Peaks:

It cannot be insignificant that Arnold seems to have been insulted at every turn of his earlier valiant career--yet hardship in a better man created Jesus Christ.

Surely we have still the Third Man who survived Walker and Ames and Hanssen, perhaps the one who keeps freeing Osama.

Aha!

A Clinton! Benedict Arnold by any other name would smell as francid.
