Cynthia McKinney Backed by Radical Islamists
Daniel Pipes, Frontpage Mag, NY Post ^ | 7/12/04 | milford421

Cynthia McKinney is running again in Georgia on July 20, 2004. Remember, McKinney is the one who accused Pres. George W. Bush of having prior knowledge of the WTC 9/11 attack. This was taken off Frontpagemag.com. It is an excerpt from Daniel Pipes' weblog at DanielPipes.org. Visit Pipes' website for the links, including McKinney's donor list. NY Post, July 12, 2004, Erick Stakelbeck, has a related article today.

Faroque Khan of the Islamic Center of Long Island is prominently listed. Khan is the NY Chapter head of the American Muslim Alliance. Khan is also the NY Chapter head of the Islamic Society of North America. The Diocese of Rockville Center - Bishop William Murphy, and Fr. Tom Hartmann, "The God Squad", Telecare - TV station of the Diocese, continue a relationship with Khan. Rabbi Jerome Davison of Temple Beth El, Great Neck, NY, also has a relationship with the mosque through "Interfaith Dialogues" as well as the Diocese.

"Radical Islam's First Member of Congress By Daniel Pipes DanielPipes.org | July 12, 2004

We all knew that Cynthia McKinney would be drawing on Arab and Muslim supporters in her bid to return to Congress, but a listing of contributors (with information up through June 28) reveals to what an extraordinary extent this is the case, as shown by the names of her backers.

Of particular note is the who's who of radical organizations her donors are associated with:

Hani Y. Awadallah – president, Arab American Civic Organization, New Jersey.

Jesse Aweida – co-founder, American Task Force on Palestine.

Belal Dalati – a vice president of Arab-American Broadcasting Co. (Orange County Register, February 19, 2002) associated with the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Hasan Elkhatib –member, board of directors, American Islamic Educational Foundation (MetroWest Jewish News, October 10, 1996)

Yaser Elmenshawy - chairman, Islamic Council of New Jersey.

Rafeeq Jaber – president, Islamic Association for Palestine, a Hamas offshoot.

Oussama Jammal – president, Bridgeview Mosque.

Samer Khalaf – chairman, American-Arab Anti Discrimination Committee's Political Outreach Committee in New Jersey.

Faroque Khan – president, Islamic Center of Long Island, also connected to the American Muslim Alliance and Islamic Society of North America.

Mahmoud A Nimer - member, board of directors, Islamic Academy of Florida, Tampa (an Islamic school established by Sami al-Arian; al-Arian's indictment indicates the school was used as a base of support for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad).

Ayman Osman - member, board of directors, Islamic Academy of Florida, Tampa; employer of Hatem Fariz, arrested on terrorism charges and charged with being a member of Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Talat Othman - former chairman of the Islamic Free Market Institute; secretary/treasurer of the American Task Force on Palestine.

Khalid Qazi – former president, American Muslim Council of western New York State.

Hareth Raddawi - member, board of directors, American-Arab Anti Discrimination Committee, Chicago.

Allam Reheem - former member, board of directors, Islamic Academy of Florida, Tampa.

Talal Sunbulli – former chairman, Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago.

James Zogby – president, Arab American Institute.

In addition, the American-Arab Anti Discrimination Committee gave $1,000.

Such an outpouring of extremist support comes as no shock; as Erick Stakelbeck documents in today's New York Post, "McKinney has long associated with militant Islamic groups whose members have openly supported terrorism," plus "she has taken to the floor of the House to defend them."

Comment: Georgia holds its primary on July 20; should McKinney win it, as seems likely, radical Arab and Muslim causes will have achieved their first significant electoral victory in the United States. (July 9, 2004) Permalink

If she does win the primary, we need to make sure whoever runs against her wins.

My, my. I am so surprised that Ms. McKinney would be supported by radical Islamist. (Tongue in cheek.) This woman is nuts; for real. She needs some intense therapy.

I'd say Pipes whipped this up too fast. How could he forget Abdurahman Alamoudi who gave McKinney $2,000 on Sept. 11, 2001? You know, the guy currently sitting in jail for plotting to assassinate Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, supposedly at the direction of Muammar Gaddafi?

"If she does win the primary, we need to make sure whoever runs against her wins."

No conservative or moderate can win that district, so whoever wins the RAT nomination will win in Nov. I'm hoping that McKinney does win, since her rantings can only help us. She shows the RAT party for what it really is.

WE should rejoice that mad Cyn will be back in the House...she'll be a complete and total embarassment to the Dems...and further discredit the Black Caucus... look, the fact that Majette, who beat her last time out, is giving up a safe House seat for a suicidal run for the Senate seat is the best indication that Dems havce lost all hope in the House...she wants out of the asylum, and this gives her a way out with her dignity intact.

Just picture Kerry's one campaign stop in the south..in Atlanta..he'll be onstage with Majette and McKInney..not a pleasant palce for him..

FYI..we're coming up on the TENTH anniversary fo GOP control of the House..more than 55% of current Dem house members have NEVER served in the majority...

Also Khaled Saffuri:

Saffuri's Ties to Terror Suspects

A talented fund-raiser and behind-the-scenes power broker, Saffuri built bridges to politicians in both parties by generously contributing to their election campaigns, from California libertarian Rep. Dana Rohrabacher in the GOP to Rep. Cynthia McKinney, the hard-left Georgia Democrat.

Problem is that this is a very safe democratic district. McKinney's chief opponent is her democratic rival Liane Levitan. Levitan's commercials put Moveon.org to shame. I swear levitan's campaign is based on her hatred of Bush and not one local issue.

I'm glad I don't live in this district because it's a lose-lose situation.
