When this story came up last week I asked the following question and even sent a post to Matt Drudge asking him to check it out when it ran on his website:
Has anyone confirmed this guy's story with Headquarters Marine Corps personnel section?
It is not beyond the realm of possibility the this "Marine" is a fraud. It has been done by the Left before.
(I'm thinking here of the atrocity testimony given at the Winter Soldier hearings by supposed Vietnam veterans who were later discovered to be imposters. One of the guys leading those hearings used the testimony before Congress to make a name for himself, used the name to launch his political career, eventually became a US Senator, married well twice, and parlayed his office and his wife's money into a run for President. What was his name...wait, it's coming...oh, yeah, John F***ing Kerry!)
That was my thought. This guy's spiel reeks of fraud. I'd like to see the Pyjamahadeen look into this.
