"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "The show show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!
Whip It: While the Senate has been bogged down with filibusters and procedural battles, the House of Representatives has been getting it done, having passed a tough immigration reform law and, more recently, a bill banning protests at military funerals. House Majority Whip Roy Blunt will join Brian and The Judge with what's next on the agenda.
The Real Story in Iran: We've heard what the media masses and blowhard politicians have said about the War on Terror. Now, let's hear from people who've actually been there. Sgt Larry Provost--who has served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and did search and rescue work at the World Trade Center on 9/11--will join Brian and The Judge.
Jail Time for Journalists: First, it was Judy Miller. Now, two San Francisco journalists who helped break the Barry Bonds steroid scandal are being threatened with jail time if they refuse to reveal their sources. Is this fair? TJ Quinn of the New York Daily News weighs in.
Good morning ping. Some interesting topics today.
Mornin' Bah!
Except it's THURSDAY...YEAH!...only 1 more!
Mornin', Raster. Beautiful day here after a really wet day yesterday.
Or maybe as early as tomorrow.
Early today, but probably work-n-lurk mode after the first hour.
Is your semester (if that's what it is) winding down?
Never before has appointment of a press secretary begun immediately with a smear campaign by the opposite political party. It was as if the Democrats feared the sting of a capable new press secretary even before he sat down at his desk. It appears they are trying to make anything he says sound political.
In effect, the Democrats have treated this like an appointment to the Supreme Court, digging up his past comments to undercut what he may be called upon to announce later. As a former talk show host, Mr. Snow can be quoted often in past criticism of the administration and the president, but talk show hosts are paid to be controversial.

Although, this site is worth registering for real
Yup, it's a semester.
Final exams last week, grades in to the registrar this noon and Accident Review Board (aka Dean's Luncheon) next Tuesday to wrap things up until August.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7
When D. L. Moody was moving into old age, he was asked to grant permission for his biography. Moody refused, saying, A mans life should never be written while he is living. What is important is how a man ends, not how he begins.
For better or worse, I have failed to follow that dictum. My biography has been published. Yet I agree with Moody that the way our lives end is the crucial test of authentic discipleship. Only if we remain in a steadfast relationship with the Savior can we be confident not merely of entering heaven, but of obtaining the victors crown (1 Corinthians 9:25).
Paul was concerned about the possibility of being disapproved by his Lord (v.27). He was a redeemed believer who was serving the Lord, yet he feared that his service might prove to be wood, hay, and straw rather than gold, silver, and precious stones (1 Corinthians 3:12-13).
What will be the Lords appraisal of our lives? Will someone evaluating us be able to say honestly that we continued to bear fruit in old age? (Psalm 92:14). Whatever vocation we pursue, with the help of the Holy Spirit we may be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Oh, may all who come behind us find us faithful,
May the fire of our devotion light their way;
May the footprints that we leave lead them to believe,
And the lives we live inspire them to obey. Mohr

For the ignorant, old age is as winter; for the learned, it is a harvest. Jewish proverb
The attack on Hayden with the NSA is ridiculous. I DO databases. We are only LISTENING to phone calls from the US to foreign country. You have to do Data Mining the header records. The Judge is wrong about this. In order to find out the pattern of call to international callers, you have to FIRST sweep the header. THis is NOT 1984. They are just taking the headers to look for pattern. The Judge is wrong about this because it's NOT a search.
Uh oh, given the topic and the Judge's position on it, this could be a difficult morning. Judge, you already don't have any privacy in this country if you are a citizen, that is.
"NSA is listening in on every single phone call in the US"?
Judge, you just lost me for all time.
See ya, guys.
Oh geez--here it goes!!!
Good morning, everyone.
I think the Judge's understanding of the program is not very deep.
BTW one of the newspapers was the NYT's.
Oh FGS, Judge. The government is not breaking the law with this program.
