You and all the libs can mouth the words that they "supported" the troops, to make themselves 'feel good' and go home with a smug self satisfied smirk on their face that the troops really like them.
yeah Joan.... where were you when my dad was ass deep in a rice paddy with his leg blown off? Where were you when good men were dying in some frickin jungle in Asia for your liberty, b#tch?
KMA! Don't let her soil the honor of our wounded warriors and their families by letting this faux American B#tch near Walter Reed.
Outstanding report and thanks for “sticking to your guns,” to borrow a phrase. And thank you for visiting with those brave men and women. God Bless them all.
NP and it is my pleasure to visit them and be their friend. Love ‘em!!!
Listening to Joan Baez sing is like listening to fingernails on a blackboard.
Cue picture of Snidely Whiplash saying,
RATS! Foiled Again!!!
Thanks for the report.
What were her political views? Did she agree with her daughter?
Baez was in Hanoi doing a Jane Fonda and sucking up to the Commies when Linebacker II started. It’s unfortunate that we didn’t get her.
She did have to break off one performance and run for the shelter when the pre-strike ‘Varks came in low over her hotel.
“What were her political views? Did she agree with her daughter?”
She didn’t talk about it a lot. Once she got a nicely rolled up submission of music tied in a red ribbon while Joan Jr. was off gallivanting in Africa. Joan Sr. thought for a moment about the nice boy, then threw the music in the trash (Ha Ha)!
I had a crush on Martine, the French ooh la la guitar singer who was a friend of Joan and Mimi Farina. Only later did I find out Martine and a number of that crowd were from Lesbania. Neil Diamond told Martine all her songs sounded alike (Ha Ha again!).
It appears so. From the Rolling Stone blog, somebody wrote that Mrs. Mellencamp was running around the audience snapping photos, and that some HDTV music station had a film crew there.
Did any of them ask the soldiers and their families if they (Mellenhead and crew) could make money off of filming them?
On Friday evening Plea Deal (IIRC) came over to me and told me that she had just gotten a phone call from inside telling her that John Mellonhead was playing a concert inside WRAMC, nobody was there, and that we were invited inside.
I said, "Nah. I'd rather be out here that inside listening to that boob."
Out of all the folks we had at the gates last Friday, not a single one went inside.
I mentioned to two of the soldiers who came out to chat with us, that Mellonhead was doing a free concert inside. One soldier said, "Nah, I'll stay here with you guys," and the other soldier rolled his eye and made an arguably obscene gesture at the mention of Mellonhead.
Wow, it turns out I was hanging with a minor celebrity, Martine Habib who put out some real albums. She now apparently works at Microsoft. I am in shock, walking back to the corridors of time via the Internet wayback machine.
Who needs that anti-war/America hag around our heroic troops??
Pray for W and Our Troops
And Rickie Lake (on Rosie O' Donut's show) said Army soldiers are "ineducated".
The joke's on her.
she did not!? LOL
Yes, she did.
I read a transcript on another thread. The View: America's best and brightest. Rosie: A Structural Engineer, and Rickie: A college professor. You can't get any better than the ladies on "The View".
I think we need to start a movement to allow vets to tell here exactly how many see her as a traitor.
