Afghanistan has special significance to the world of militant Islam. It was once called Khurasan, along with parts of Iran and Pakistan. Muhammad said: "If you see the black flags coming from Khurasan, join that army, even if you have to crawl over ice, for that is the army of the Imam al-Mahdi and no one can stop that army until it reaches Jerusalem." That is one reason Osama bin Laden chose it as his base, or al-Qaida.

A little more Islamic prophecy, regarding who bin Laden desperately wishes muslims believed him to be...

Who Is Imam al-Mahdi?

I'm writing this document as a respond to requests from many Muslims and non-Muslims. I found many documents about this subject that contains a lot of false Hadeeths. This document is a result for a long research in evaluating every Hadeeth (true or false). Arabic version is also availavble.

The term "MAHDI" is a title meaning "The Guided one". Mahdi is a normal man who is going to follow the true Islam. His name will be Muhammad and his father name will be 'Abdullah. He is a descendant from Ali and Fatima (daughter of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) so he will be descendant from al-Hasan or al-Husain. Mahdi will be very just and his capital will be Damascus. Allah told us that Jews will master the world two times (we live now 1998 during the first one) and Mahdi will appear between those two periods and will rule through the last one. Mahdi is NOT a prophet but he is the final Rightly Guided Khalifa. Mahdi will lead Muslims to a great victory against the Christian Romans (i.e. All the white Europeans including the Americans). This great war is called al-Malhamah al-Kubrah or Armageddon. It will end up with a great victory to Muslims against Romans after six years. Muslims will take over their capital Rome (this can be any city). In the seventh year, the Anticrist will apear and a greater war will start between Jews and Muslims for 40 days (longer that usual days) and will end when Jesus (pbuh) will come and Muslims will kill all Jews. All people will convert into Islam. Peace will pervade the whole world.

Isn't that special? The bolding is mine, so people reading will be sure not to miss that, according to this interpretation of the Koran, there can not be 'peace' until there is a literal orgy of a blood-bath in ridding the world of all the Jews.

The links will not work, 'cause I refuse to take the time to point them back to the source. If anyone wishes to go there, it is islamic web

Americans have trouble with the deeper questions, questions like how religious are we? Other important questions include are we no longer sure of who and what we are as a culture or as a nation?

What does America have to do with Islam? What does our culture have to do with the fanatical war mongering Islamics? Is there any correlation? Reading this article the author Diane Alden seems to think so. As if it's our fault that evil doers exist. *We * don't understand "them"… we aren't asking the right questions… we should think deeper about their religion… we should ask ourselves "why," as she put it.

The Christian majority in America must ask itself some hard questions. How secular are we? We seem to be a pariah to the fundamentalist Islamic world because of our perceived decadence and secularism. Or is the "root" cause of our problems with Islam based in our own inability to protect and defend Western tradition and culture?

Harm has been done to us. We already know who these people are. We don't need to psychoanalyze them before bombing them. Let the professionals do that. In the meantime, let's finish the job we set out to do… exterminate these terrorists and their network of terror.

The big questions of culture and religion need to be answered, and many in America will not like the questions or the answers. Those questions are as important as battle plans, rooting out terrorist hideouts, and creating a Palestinian state or figuring out what to do about Israel. Without answers to the bigger questions, the others become moot.

Nope, the big question is how long will it take to get those fanatics, and would we as a nation have the patience to withstand the criticism and the blame that befalls us from every corner of the world?

On Sept. 11, 2001, and Sept. 11, 1683, we see the end of an era of Islam and the beginning of another. We are in a historical upswing of a world religion bent on political and religious domination in a large part of the world. It is very likely that the West, and more particularly the world's great religions, are not asking the right questions of themselves or each other.

Nope. Muslims never ended their persecution, oppression and terror of non-Muslims. Their holy wars are based upon an intense hatred of them. Their desire is to force Christians of all denominations to convert to Islam or be killed or tortured. The fount of Islamic energy, of its destructiveness and high aspiration, are the same as they have always been -- the desire to protect the purity of the Islamic faith and to eradicate anyone who will not convert and submit to Islam, thus to vindicate its claim to be the final revealed religion on earth. --

Finally, and hopefully, can the three great religions live in peace with each other?

The Islamic attitude towards non-Muslims stems from the Koran (Surah) itself:

"Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends. They are friends with one another. Whoever of you seek their friendship shall become one of their numbers. Allah does not guide the wrong-doers." (Koran 5:51) In this verse Allah is clearly instructing his followers never to befriend non-Muslims, in particular the Christians and Jews.

"Fight against those to whom the scriptures were given, who believe not in Allah nor in the Last Day, who forbid not what Allah and His Apostle have forbidden, and follow not the true faith, until they pay tribute out of hand and are humbled." (Koran 9:29) In this verse the Koran is completely justifying war and barbaric acts on non-Muslims.

The call to fight against those who are non-believers is in the Koran, which teaches Muslims to fight and kill those heathens who will not accept the faith. Muhammad drew the Arabs to Islam by promising salvation for those who died fighting for Islam. Islam preaches that non-Muslims should be converted by force or killed. Islam actually preaches that the Muslims should invade and take over the world. There are over 40 Islamic countries around the world. Each of which was taken by force and millions of the original inhabitants were killed and millions were converted by force.
