Why is the Bush administration lieing and pretending that Saudi Arabia is an ally?

Is it really just to keep the oil flowing? There must be something more to it than that.

I think it's human nature to want things to be black and white. Black and white is easy. In the middle east things are seldom easy.

Yep I believe there are radical Muslems in Saudi Arabia. No I am not convinced that Saudi leadership is thrilled they are there. Folks, there are radical factions in every nation in the middle east. Unless the governments want to start a Jihad, they have to try to keep all parties pacified. Saudi Arabia isn't any different.

Saudi Arabia has Mecca on it's soil. It may not like it, but it has to open it's borders to pilgrims every year. When that happens, all sorts of racical elements are free to slip in. Later on they can cause serious problems.

The Rhiads play an interesting game of cat and mouse with the US and radical middle eastern elements. If anyone thinks those radical middle eastern elements are happy that the royal family allows our military on their soil, they should think again.

We may wish that the Saudis didn't allow those elements on their soil. Frankly we may wish that we didnt' allow radical middle eastern elements on our soil. Well our nation and Saudi Arabia do allow radical middle eastern elements on our soil.

As for Sauda Arabia get over it. As for our nation, contact your government reps and demand a revokation of all visas from middle easter nations that support terrorism. Also demand that Egypt and Syria provide faxed maifests before they fly passengers to this nation, or deny them entry.

Saudi Arabia is rich enough that it can support Islamic attack indirectly and from a comfortable deniable distance. As I have said here elsewhere, we are bombing empty areas in Afghanistan when the problem is much broader.
