"Either you're with us or you're with the terrorists."My way or the highway. Heh. Unless, of course,
you are Saudi Arabia, the PLO, Egypt, or OPEC.
And when is Congress going to declare this war, anyway?
This endeavor has more half-steps than the Wedding March.

Maybe this will put the Chinese and the way they think, in perspective.

This bothered me for a moment. Then I remembered that these people still consider indoor plumbing a luxury, probably had to pay three months' salary for their DVD players, and eat their own dogs.

The Red Chinese regime wants to impress upon its people our degree of vulnerability.
In the meantime, we continue investing capital in China. Our China Policy was formulated by the same people who mismanged our anti-terrorist policy. (That should cheer us up.) We ignored the reality about the Islamic fundamentalist terrorists just as we are continuing to ignore the reality that Red China is our enemy.
How many times does our government have to demonstrate its short-sightedness to us before it's too late?

I'm not sure a boycott will be needed. As the US economy shrinks, and as consumers in the USA stop spending, Chinese factories will quickly feel that pinch and squeeze. AS the the shrinking US economy impacts other economies, so too will the Chinese economy contract, except that it will be multiplied many times over.
Isn't it true that as economies contract it is those economies that are on the lowest end of the scale (producing the most junk at lowest price) that feel the impact the most?

You really wonder what the h..l it is going to take before the US changes its insane "See No Evil" policy toward the PRC.

I could not believe it last week when I was going to buy a package of frozen perch and I always look to see where it was packaged. Guess what...It was processed in China...I left the fish in the store.
Before you buy something, look to see where it's made. If it carries the Made In China label, put it back on the shelf. Doesn't matter if they're in the WTO or not. No one can force you to buy their stuff. (Probably means there's no reason to go into Walmart at all.)

We were protesting against it on FR and writing to our Reps. Where were you?

When I was a kid I used to wonder how the American Indians could be so stupid; they gave away their land to white settlers for worthless trinkets and beads. Now we seem to be doing the same thing. "Giving away America" in exchange for worthless Chicom plastic cr@p.
