Meanwhile, the National Rifle Association, with its deep pockets, continues to try to exploit the September terrorist attacks as a reason to buy more guns

I bought a Glock 9mm and it had nothing to do with the NRA although I now do consider joining.

Gun Safety Measure #2: Permanent retention of all firearm sales records to ensure that law-enforcement officials can track terrorists, citizens, trace their weapons, and know what threats they are facing when they attempt to apprehend these criminals. This is her REAL goal.

And when I recently saw Mandy Patimkin in a theater concert, he was trying to raise funds for PAX (the group that has parents call the parents of their children's kids to see if they own guns) and some other anti-gun organization. They just can't get past the mental barrier that guns can help the "good guys" stop the "bad guys" and do so much more often than they hurt good people.

You would do better to spend you membership money on the JPFO or Gun Owners of America

There is compelling evidence that terrorists are stockpiling high-powered weapons and ammunition obtained from unregulated gun markets in this country

Really? Why haven't the usual suspects, Rather, Jennings and Brokaw reported this? Losers...

LOL. How did the NRA get those deep pockets? FROM THE DONORS! HCI is a bad idea and unsupported by the majority of the people, which is why their funding pales in comparison to the NRA.

A generous donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, has issued a challenge to our members and supporters. For every dollar contributed, up to $200,000 in the next 30 days, a 50 percent match will be made. For example, a gift of $50 will be worth $75 with our donor's gift.

Obviously they are appealling to the more intellectual segment of society.

Oh, the shame. What dastardly people they must be to suggest that protecting yourself is important now that we know there are terrorists in the country.

Actually, I don't think self-defense is any more critical now than 9/10/01 but if the Gun Control Nuts can abuse that date, so can the NRA.

Shalom.

Wow, if there really is compelling evidence that terrorists are securing weapons at gun shows, etc., then it is imperative for all good Americans to purchase guns as well in order to protect ourselves and defeat these terrorists. Isn't that the real message here?

I think it probably wouldn't be such a hot idea to be an Arab terrorist looking to purchase firearms at a gun show in a private deal these days.
