Do you believe that most Muslimns are peaceful people? Not one fatwa issued against Bin Laden. Poor Salman Rushdie only wrote a book and a price was on his head in the Muslim world. Think al jazeera is brain washing you. The Muslims in Kashmir, Phillipines, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, pakistan who murder those of other faiths seem peaceful to you.

I am an American and dont care if the French, Germans or whomever else are not with us.
Well, I hate to break it to ya, but most Americans are behind the president. A few Muslim extremists believe this is a holy war. You agree with them. Good. Get off your armchair and buy a plane ticket. I hear there's a fat reward for Osama's head.

As a political move, this is really slick. OTOH, as a Christian I find this really disappointing. We have embraced multiculturalism quite enough. If W gets on the mat with the towel heads, that's it.

I seriously don't understand how Dubya -- a professed born-again Christian -- can go this far. This is more than tolerance. This is an open and wanton embrace, and it worries me immensely.

It's also
legal to worship Satan in America but we don't have to
host such worship in the White House.
This is religious pandering for political purposes and it makes me sick.

Since when did Free Republic become the Democrat Underground and try to regulate religion?Since this became an expression someone would champion with glee: "What we must do is go nuclear and eliminate them all."

I don't think Muslims are one massive block. I think the terrorists are a minority. I think there are millions of Muslims in America. I don't see them bombing anything. But I'm sure they have you in paranoid fits.

Well I maintain that a much larger segment of Islam is fanatical and extreme than just Osama's gang.
I am more concerned when Bush mixes it up with Islamic leaders in THIS country, as we know some are covers for terrorists. He got burned before when he did that. But what can you do.
I do think it's insulting to the victims of 9-11 but Americans are good at voicing their displeasure. Maybe O'Reilly will get ahold of this.

This country was formed as a place to practice religion freely - you know that, and so does everyone else. No one has rewritten the First Amendment to include only "state approved" religions.
The arguments you use against the Muslims are the same arguments the PC leftists use against us Christians. I don't like anyone telling me that I can't pray where I want to, so I'd better be cognizant of the fact that what protects Muslims ALSO protects me. If you want a "State Approved Religion", head to China...

Islam mocks him every day.

It is a well-documented FACT that mosques, Islamic charities, etc., and the like have been discovered to have been conduits and moeny-laundering facilities for terrorists here in the USA.

Completely agree! This makes me sick and yet I think our president hads bought the line that if we all hold hands and kiss allah's booty the Muslims will like us. Wonder if the President heard that the christians taken hostage in the Phillipines were forcibly converted to Islam. At least those muslims acted like real ones. Just wish our president could be honest. Thats what I thought conservatism was all about: telling it like it is. Only hope they bring some deodorant the day of the visit.

If we adopt yours, Islam will subjugate US.

Since when did Free Republic become the Democrat Underground and try to regulate religion? Good question. Reminds me of the articles "exposing" the fact that John Ascroft actually was caught holding prayers in his office.
It was also supposed to be a huge scandal. yawwwwwn!

Where is the outrage from the imams. Saw Hardball on tv the other night and the supposedly moderate imam said that the hijackers were not Muslims. Chris Matthews made a fool out of the guy but he acted like a true Muslim. That is he refused to speak the truth.

Well, if it's so well-documented then it should be easy to produce a simple stat describing what percentage of these "Islamic fronts" represent Islam in America.
If you are able to find this data, I'm sure it's less than 1%.

NYC Mosque Leader Goes to Cairo "NEW YORK (AP) - Shortly after Sept. 11, the leader of New York City's largest mosque, long known for his moderate views, suddenly moved back to Cairo and was quoted on a Web site as blaming Jews for the terrorist attacks.
Many were taken aback by the reports about Imam Mohammad Gemeaha, who three days after airliners were crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, delivered a sermon calling for peace among people of all religions."

our president is going overboard. i've heard it all a thousand times...islam is a peaceful religion, we should understand the root causes, we should be tolerant, many arabs have been productive members of society....blah, blah, blah. i've had this nonsense shoved down my throat since 9/11 and i'm not interested anymore and never have been. let prez bush get back to governing not groveling.
