They no longer complain about visiting the Crawford ranch, which they once dismissed as boring and too far away from their friends in Austin. Barbara and Jenna crabbed so much that their parents put in a swimming pool. George W dubbed it The Whining Pool. I wish my dad was president. Good article on Laura.

The portrait of a wonderful woman, and a wonderful marriage.
Thank you so much for posting this!

Beautiful!
(Can you see any of that interchange between the last two occupiers of the WH?)

I thought you folks would appreciate this article. I think it gives us a good idea about the President's marriage, which is a REAL one, not a photo op.

After the last 8 years, Laura is a MUCH NEEDED breath of fresh air.

George and Laura are certainly a couple who love each other and they have restored dignity and honor back to the White House.

"Later he found Laura, alone, quietly gazing out a window. He approached and wordlessly laid his head on top of hers. For a moment, at least, he was still."
*sniff...*
Bump for a lovely First Lady.

What a refreshing change from the sociopathic, power-mongering congenital liar she replaces!

Laura outclasses Hillary in every way, just by being herself.

Damn, that's a great photo. Why couldn't I meet someone like this about 50 years ago?

Hillary must just shrink a little more every time she reads something like this (from Newsweek, no less!) I'm loving every minute of it. Hopefully, after the public has been exposed to Laura and GW for the next several years, there would be no way they could ever contemplate wanting another round of the Clintons!

The picture above of Laura Bush sitting with the service people is perhaps one of the most beautiful I have ever seen of her.
