I agree with you almost completely... and would like to bring up an interesting point that I'm surprised hasn't arisen yet... All of the children who are 'being desensitized' and 'subjected to satanism and black magic' that you all speak of have parents... I personally believe that the 'Harry Potter' series are great works of fiction and carry wonderful artistic and creative value... but if your opinions is in contrast... then by all means... keep your children from reading/watching them... but I thought the that we were all here was to keep the ideas of free will and personal choice alive... by censoring your children... in some instances you are preventing the developement of the virtues spoken of herein. If their parents aprove... then why shouldn't they be able to enjoy these stories? If it gets them into reading... it's a good thing, right? It's all about freedom.

There was a guy who turned himself in for molesting and killing over a hundred boys, I believe, somewhere in Latin America last year or a couple of years ago.

Law enforcement wasn't going to catch him, he just decided to turn himself in one day. Very sick.

They don't have the same level of policing there as they have here, people can get away with mass murder.

I love that Christian attitude. What love!

Judge not, lest ye be likewise judged...

"African religious traditions in Brazil date to the first slaves brought here in the 16th century. They fused the Harry Potter books they were forced to read by the colonial Portuguese with the spiritualism of their homelands, inventing what anthropologists describe as new, hybrid religions such as Tambo de Mina, Candomble and Umbanda."

There is nothing more frustrating that holding a discussion with a person that has rejected, with out any serious study, the entire concept of Christian theology.

I gave you answers to your questions. You simply ignored them because they required some effort on your part.

Try and have a curious mind rather than one totally shut off by your own prejudices. You seriously limit your self when you imagine your opinions to be fact. The fact that you still seem unable to discern the substantive differences between the sacrament of the Eucharist and drinking the blood of murdered children illustrates this point.

You get the last word.

No use in really conversing with some of these people. they are convinced that by having contact with books that are not biblical in nature and do not praise God, you will surely be turned to witchcraft.

You can not attempt to show these people that much of the pedistal they have built to stand on is built in our pagan past and still in use today. They won't see it. You will be vilified and taunted as being someone who has turned there back on God and wishes ill upon the children of the world.
I wonder if they will bother to do the research it would take to find out that "Easter" is literally a pagan holiday in name (not in spirit).
I simply do not think any of them can come fully to terms with the fact that tomorrow, December 4th, it Tiw's Day. So named after an ancient god of war.
Many of them cannot cope with the fact that there are no functional 'witchcraft' spells and so invent them. One of the posters in this forum believes so strongly in witchcraft that she believes a spell was cast upon her sisters house. No mention of course what the spell was, or what it did... kind of like this article that was mentioned, no mention of what spell was cast.
I have chalked half up as mere buffoons, and some of the remainder up as being dangerous to themselves and their families due to the fallacies and misconceptions that will someday slap them in the face.
Some of these folks mean well, but lack enough cognitive thought to see that people in the 100AD's did not have flush toilets. Much less accept the idea that translators might have not only got it wrong, but done so on purpose in order to convey the 'truth' in a more socially acceptable light.

For those who seek knowledge and remain strong in faith I raise a tall glass of your favorite beverage.

For those who must hide their eyes in order to believe I offer only some words that ring true in my heart. If you hide your eyes from the light of truth, how will you ever see Heaven?

It should be fairly obvious where the liberals priorities are. Heck, I don't know how many commercials I've seen on TV over the past 3 months lecturing Americans about the evils of intolerance towards muslims....but I don't think that I've heard one aimed at the muslims telling them to be tolerant towards everyone else.

With the liberals, its ALWAYS about racism and sexism....they have one-track minds. So who cares if these boys are being mutilated and murdered?...so long as we continue to be PC.
