Why the new laws meant to make it harder for Arabs and Muslims to come into this country won't work

Posted on 12/07/2001 2:48:49 PM PST by Michael2001

While our government passes laws making it harder for Arabs and Muslims to come here legally, they are virtually ignoring our border with Mexico where over one million people come into our country illegally. Arab and Muslims terrorists will simply go to Mexico and then sneak through our border the same way the Mexicans do, we must close the border.

The government says that it is almost impossible to shut that border down; that is popycock! Anyone who's even served a short time in the military, knows that our government is lying to us. I'd build two fences 100 yards apart from each other, build a moat in between, and patrol it with military armed with rubber bullets and stun guns. The whole operation could be up and running in under 4 months, and it would be cheaper than what we're doing now (because we'd need less people)

The truth is we should have done this a long time ago, but for some reason chose not too. We have enough illegal Mexicans (among other nationalities) in this country anyway, this recent terrorist attack is just another reason to shut that border down.

Apparently you don't know the terrain. No way.

What's wrong with copper bullets and body bags?

As KirklandJunction said, Apparently you don't know the terrain.

Your plan would be impossible from just past San Diego to the Arizona border, the 10th Mountain Division would have a hard time operating in this area.

While this might work in some areas, it won't work in all.

Also, I think Land Mines would be a better deterrent.

You're probably right. I should've laid out my plans better. I do, however, know this - the government can stop them from coming if they really want to. It would not cost a lot of money and would not result in any more casualties than we have now.

After 12 years in the Marine Corps infantry, and 4 years working the southern boarder for INS, I would have to disagree. It would be physically impossible to stop all illegal traffic across our boarders.

The best way to stop the Mexicans, would be to help turn there country into a economic powerhouse, like we did for Germany and Japan.

To start, we should stop buying oil form the Middle East, and buy more of it from Mexico and the other South American countries.

I think the answer is one armed Marine per mile. In one week this would drop to one Marine per five miles. In one month this would drop to one Marine per twenty miles.

All bodies would be dragged back to the border for Mexican retrieval. This order alone would guarantee the success of the plan. Grunts do not like dragging corpses any farther than absolutely necessary.

Have you done any research at all on the success of the illegal Mexicans in California in returning California to Mexico. Anyone who currently gets a retirement check from California should be interested in this. What are the odds that Mexico is going to continue retirement checks for Californians?

Why drag them anywhere, just use a thermite grenade on the body.

Sounds interesting. I read a piece in Forbes concerning enemy in the air during WWII. How they put up balloons which kept them from getting in. It was also a lot cheaper. It's too bad our government doesn't want to do the right thing. With all the brain power we have in this world and no one will do the right thing. What a shame.

What are the oil reserves in Mexico and South America? I understand there is a lot down there.

You seem to have left out the northern border, right now there are eight (8) U.S. Border patrol agents in the state of Michigan. Take a look at this state on a map. That's like the proverbial screen door on a submarine.

See what I mean about grunts not enjoying dragging corpses. No, this order is what would keep the Grunts eyes open. If they didn't have to drag the body back to the borderline then there would be some, "Ah, let that one go" attitude out in the field.
