In CT we had drive by shootings on a regular basis leading up to a bill that would have regulated guns. My wife thought I was nuts saying it was just a coincidence (and I'm ussually the guy who suspect conspiracys before most people). She had a gut feeling too.

No, the 380 is actually a 9mm short. You're probably thinking of 38. Ballistic perfromance of the 380 is generally poorer than the 38, but it can be made to match not-too-hot 38 loads.
