[aren't most .380's revolvers?] Nope. .380 is an auto pistol round, rimless case. It's also called 9mm kurtz (short). I've never seen a .380 revolver, but there may be such an animule. Every .380 I've ever seen was an auto or semiauto.
There are some such around, such as the WWII British .380 Enfield Number Two and Webley Mark Four revolvers, chambered for the rimmed British .380 revolver cartridge in use before the Commonwealth military adopted the 9mm parabellum L9A1 Browning Hi-Power handgun and its earlier wartime antecedents.
The USA also supplied a great many S&W revolvers known as the *Victory Model* to the British in that chambering, not interchangable with the US .38 Special cartridge, and also known as the .38-200 or *.38 Smith and Wesson* cartridge. Among the many users of one of the former British S&W handguns was one Lee Harvey Oswald, who allegedly used it to shoot Dallas police officer Jefferson Davis Tippett with it, though his was rechambered to handle the US .38 Special ammo.
Pic and link to more info on the .380 Enfield #2Mk1* revolver in the post *here*

You, like many others here, try to substitute noting membership dates for thoughtful discourse. Since that didnt work, you resort to calling my comments ridiculously-naive (sic), with no real commentary. What is ridiculous is making a Clinton scandal or conspiracy over everyone who dies. I demonstrate that by showing that some folks have created Bush conspiracies as easily as some have created Clinton conspiracies. Any specific comments on that? If not, go check some more membership dates and use your seniority to win some points.
Peter Odighizuwa, of Grundy, Va., and Nigeria, is being held in the Buchanan County jail charged with the shootings at the Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Va., Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002. Odighizuwa, a struggling Nigerian law school student, went on a campus shooting spree Wednesday, killing the dean, a professor and a student before he was tackled by students, authorities said. "What is ridiculous is making a Clinton scandal or conspiracy over everyone who dies." Nobody made a scandal over everyone who dies...the valid concern is over the inordinate number of close friends and associates of Osama bil Clinton who were killed or committed Arkancide. We know for a fact that Bill Clinton ordered the mass-murder of scores of innocent civilians in Waco, Texas, and we know for a fact that Bill Clinton ordered and orchestrated the mass-murder of thousands of innocent civilian Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo for no apparent gain whatsoever except to divert attention from his horrid performance in the Oval Office. Yes, Tanker, you are quite naive if you believe all the untimely deaths that have surrounded Bill Clinton in his rise to Power are a defendable coincidence...but we've come to expect that from Lib'rals like you.
"I demonstrate that by showing that some folks have created Bush conspiracies as easily as some have created Clinton conspiracies. Any specific comments on that?"
ROFLMAO...what a crock!! I read yer little Bush Conspiracy Creation and it--like yer argument--has no basis in Reality. Then again, I reckon lying to yourselves is the only way you Clinton Supporters can stomach looking yourselves in the mirror each morning. I do pity you for that...MUD

This thread seems to be going in all directions, but in keeping with the story, one of the injured, and another who witnessed the whole thing, are from my small town in Western Kentucky. The Dad of the witness is a Circuit Court Judge here and was interviewed on TV tonight. His son saw the shootings and his best friend, a female, was hit in the chest. From what the local news just reported, her condition is not critical.

And Pat Buchanan is a total nut case, right?

I haven't heard anything about this today. Thanks for the ping! I'm not familiar with who Anthony Sutton is.

Oh No! Another Saturday Night Special.
I will bet that gun is not at all safe.

It's actually Anthony Sutin, and here's part of who he is...
"SUTIN TO HEAD OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS"
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Attorney General Janet Reno has appointed L. Anthony Sutin to serve as the Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legislative Affairs at the Department of Justice.
Sutin, whose appointment became effective on Monday, will be responsible for overseeing the Department's liaison efforts with Congress, including legislative and oversight matters.
Sutin, 38, has previously served as Deputy Associate Attorney General, and as Deputy Director and General Counsel for the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. That office administers the multibillion dollar "COPS" program aimed at placing 100,000 additional police officers on the nation's streets.
Before joining the government, Sutin was a partner in the Washington, D.C. law firm of Hogan & Hartson, where he specialized in civil litigation.
Sutin is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Brandeis University. He lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife, Margaret M. Lawton, and their son."
This thread is chock-full of other good info, too...this smells funny to...MUD

Thanks for the info. I thought I had him confused with somebody in the U.S. Supreme Court.

"...somebody in the U.S. Supreme Court." LOL...no, I just goofed...MUD

Clearly, this is all the fault of America for not providing billions of dollars for education in Nigeria, or else why would this poor student be "struggling" ? I give the liberal journalists about three days to start writing articles in this direction.

Different cartridge, archy. I'm referring to the .380acp. My mistake for not being more clear.

I'm sure someone has already advised you, I'm late on this;
no, .380 is specifically an autoloader. It's a low power .38 rimless (& largely useless) that kind of relates to 9mm as .38 does to .357.

He actually was a Reno appointee, this Dean. She is running hard for the governship here in Fla. However, McBride just got the teacher's union's vote and everybody has written him off but I'm not so sure we should. He is just like Clinton. Clinton + McBride. McBride's another damn lawyer and Jeb Bush is a former teacher. I am a former, experienced legal assistant and I HATE LAWYERS! I love legal research and trial prep but I HATE LAWYERS! When I worked for them, I played along and was cordial but inside I was thinking re: their personalities or lack of, WHO ARE THEY KIDDING? There are exceptions but they are extremely rare.
To: Mudboy Slim
Mud, you are completely missing what I am saying. First, I AM NOT a Clinton supporter. Please! I've said nothing that would indicate that I am. Second, that is not MY Bush list. The point is that I don't believe EITHER list. I stand by my only point in this: Taking every death of anyone remotely associated with Clinton (or Bush) is stupid.
Now, I've learned quite a bit about you. You use membership dates rather than debate (your previous post) and, when that doesn't work, you call names (Lib'ral). I defy you to find one single post on FR where I have said anything remotely liberal. If you can't do that, then don't respond. Ive had enough name-calling and diversions.
