A day after emphatically denying that he ever received political contributions from Enron, Richard Riordan's campaign conceded yesterday that the candidate had accepted a $500 check from the energy giant for his mayoral re-election effort.
Riordan's campaign accepted the donation from Enron Capital Trade and Resources, based in Houston, on Dec. 26, 1996, according to campaign finance disclosure records.
