Anna Naughty-Kova Is Out

Anna from the neck up

Tennis star Anna Kournikova has seen her University career go the same way as her tennis ranking. The glamour girl, whose world ranking has plummeted to 86, has been kicked out of university.

She failed to turn up for lectures and seminars, it has been claimed, and got her father to do her homework.

No show

Officials at Moscow's Sports University were thought to be furious, according to reports, because she did not turn up for a single lecture or seminar in the last two years.

But Ms Kournikova passed her exams with high grades, with her father Sergei's help.

"Although Anna lost interest in studying and failed to attend lectures, she still passed all of her exams with As and Bs, thanks to her father," the Dean of the University told the Daily Express.

But Ms Kournikova is unlikely to be too concerned.

Million dollar woman

Since 1995 the star has netted more than £1.8 million from tennis, despite diminishing success on court and she has collected at least a further £18 million through advertising deals.

Ms Kournikova could also be on the verge of an acting career - she has starred in a pop video with Latino singer Enrique Inglesias.

Her love life is looking positive too - she dates Sergej Federov - one of the world's highest paid ice hockey players.

>Hey, you a commie? :)
me <= = = anna pig and proud of it.

Well, I am looking forward the the red clay of Roland Garros...

Okay. Here's one just for you. The clay court season is hard. The players have to struggle. Anna's pretty normally. But, man, look at her when she's working hard:

Soon, we'll have more from the clay...

Maybe more like Northbrook Court or Oak Brook, than Gurnee Mills (outlet mall)? Yes, we'll be going to MI twice for meets and might stop in, now that my curiosity is peaked. Thanks for responding!

Tennis star Anna Kournikova...

I think this is a bit of an overstatement. What has she ever done on a tennis court to be deserving of being called a tennis star? I thought you had to win a tournament once in a while to be called a tennis star. Tennis player or tennis professional, yes. But tennis star, that's a laugh. If it wasn't for her looks, nobody would have ever heard of Anna Kournikova.

Ah, I do like the Anna threads. Now that I've looked it over I'll have to go back and see if anyone wrote anything interesting. Too bad "gdani" had to burn my retina's with his picts.

Well, I might go so far as saying that her fifteen minutes of fame might be over. She may have stretched those fifteen minutes farther than anyone else on earth, but they may be over...

However, I would still say that she actually deserves (or did deserve) to be called a tennis star.

Before her last two injuries, she would almost routinely make it to the quarters or semis of most tournaments. She was like the female, attractive version of a guy from my era called Eddie Dibbs. A career of quarters and semis. But, if you do it regularly, I think you reach the bottom level of the scale called "star."

And it's never really too late to count Anna out. Who would have believed Jennifer Capriati would come back better than ever? (I don't see it happening with Anna, but you just never know in sports.)

I'll budge a little and call her a "semi-star". But I'm still going to wait for her to win a meaningful tournament before I bestow the title of "star" upon her.

Anna is too much like Shaq was early in his career. Movies, Records, etc, not concentrating on Basketball. She will never be able to concentrate on Tennis, but Unlike Shaq, she doesn't need to.

Two words. Jennifer Lopez.

Two more. Mariah Carey.

Neither one is even REMOTELY as hot looking, nor are either of them more talented....(admittedly that is not saying alot...) But they just won't go away....

She'd probably be a better tennis player if she didn't pose for so many pictures...

Now let me see if I got this straight.
You're tellin' me that this goddess plays tennis?!
