James Woods: the 911 Terrorist Were on my Plane
O'Reilly Factor | February 14, 2002 | James Woods

Posted on 02/14/2002 5:14:08 PM PST by aculeus

On the O'Reilly Factor tonight actor James Woods revealed details of his August experience on board a westbound transcontinental flight -- including his conclusion that the men he saw were the actual terrorists involved in the 9/11 massacres.

Contrary to previous reports he did not report his experience to the FBI prior to 9/11.. He did, however, express his concerns about the four Middle Easterners to the pilot during the flight. He has since learned that the pilot then notified the FAA. Basically, he told the pilot that the men were acting like hijackers.

On 9/11 Woods called the FBI. The next day he was awakened early in the morning by a call from an FBI agent who asked to meet him. Woods offered to come to the FBI office and was told "No problem. We're in a car outside your house."

Woods made it clear in his interview -- and this greatly impressed O'Reilly -- that based on things the FBI said and his examination of published photographs, the men on his flight were all 9/11 'martyrs'. For one thing when he asked the agent if they had compared the manifest of his flight with the ID's of the terrorists the agent said they had received tens of thousands of calls since 9/11 but they were spending four hours with him ... in other words, "Draw your own conclusions, Mr. Woods".

He also said that the idea that none of the terrorists knew about each other was wrong since the men he saw died on different 911 flights.

He avoided answering some of O'Reilly's questions indicating he expected to be called as a witness in the Moussarri (?) trial.

Woods deserves a great deal of credit for his 'heads up' behavior and for his cooperation with the FBI.

I was reading the posts and looking for a reference to the most poignant bit of what he said. It was something about how over the last 5? years there have been thousands of terrorist attacks, which causes us to not look for a Swiss for terrorists, or something like that. Wish I had a transcript of exactly what he said there. It sounded like a really good support for profiling at airports.

Woods is a run-of-the-mill Hollywood moderate. Look into his background.
He has, on many occasions, compared the Republicans to Nazis.

Even a broken watch is right twice a day.

I think you're going to be amazed at how many Whorlywood elites are going to pull a Bono and wrap themselves in the flag as if that's they way they've always lived their lives. We should out them whenever possible by throwing their own quotes right back in their faces.

James Woods seems to be a stand up guy. He's obviously a thinker. Most libs would have been drooling all over these men due to their ethnicity. Down and Out in Beverly Hills, comes to mind. If only they could get one as a pet...

Every time I see Woods I'm reminded of that HBO movie he was in with the Quitters Anonynous section with some sure-fire methods to help people stop smoking. :-) "yeah I suppose if I mess up you'll cut over my little finger?" "No, we'll cut off your wife's little finger".

Some bios say he graduated, others say he left MIT two months prior to graduating.

That was a Stephen King story--and it was terrific! It was in a group of King stories on film--Cat's Paw? I can't remember the title...

I'm thinking of posting one with a transcript with one error, then you can post one that's 100%.

I am thinking of having your brain examined, but then it would take a next generation electon microscope to see something that small.

It was called "Cat's Eye". A pretty good 80s flick.

Ask Jim. Free Republic is like a newspaper. You have to read the whole thing to get all the news. Not every story is breaking or front page news. You'll learn more and be better informed by spending a half hour or hour scrolling through a days posts than by getting your news from the talking heads. You'll find important stories that haven't been posted multiple times. Most duplicate posts stem from people refusing to search. Chances are if you've seen a story somewhere else one of the 80,000 other registered freepers has seen it too and already posted it.

I saw this too. I think O'Reilly was almost speechless in a couple parts, didn't you? Very moving/jarring interview.

On again. Woods only positively identified two of the men as 9/11 hijackers (as I said in the thread I started). The others were confirmed to him as "terrorist involved" but were not necessarily 9/11 hijackers.

Wish I had a transcript of exactly what he said there. I was wondering if o'Reilly would post the interview also. Maybe he will run/repeat it on Saturday.

He saw four terrorist. Did all four die?

My take on what he said about this is he recognized two of the terrorists from the pictures of the 9/11 terrorists. One was especially easy to recognize, the one that had a v-shape hairline, because he looked to Woods exactly like an actor. Woods became a little fuzzy here because not only was O'Reilly interrupting him but Woods said he couldn't speak too much about this because of legalities and the fact he may be called as a witness. From my understanding of what Woods said, there are two men who were on his flight who are still out there, who did not die on 9/11. [I'm impressed you noticed this and apologize for being more clear on this important fact.]

Freepers who saw the interview, please feel free to correct me if you understood differently.

To my knowledge, Woods backed Clinton over the years, but let's say he's more conservative since 9/11.

All graduates of MIT must take the "core curriculum", which is heavy in science and math.  It matters not what your eventual major is.  I, for one, am glad to have him as a fellow alumnus.

He nailed clinton and sometimes the GOP DOES think and act like Nazis. I'd say Woods is right more than twice a day.
