The Legislature's Democratic leaders twisted arms, paid some political gate fees and resorted to some slick parliamentary maneuvering last week to gain approval of the year's most heavily lobbied bill, one that empowers the Air Resources Board to reduce so-called "greenhouse gas" emissions from cars.

It could be if push comes to shove this bill gets withdrawn so GrayDown is spared the dilemma of having to sign or veto it.

what is being over looked it that the rats are protecting Davis from a ballot initiative for the voters to vote upon. Tha state legislatuters are trying to prevent the citizens for voting down these emission bills that are flying thru the dome. Read it closely, not just on Davis to veto it or not, but the reason they are hanging on this bill for last minute time lines on a ballot to be brought before Bill Lockyear's attorney general office to get on the ballot. They are pulling a fast one against the citizen's. Davis did it again, bought out, they are pulling an enron in dirty politics..

They are not afraid of us. Only afraid the lobbyist won't send the next check.

We need an initiative to replace the legislator's vehicle lease allotment ($500 per month) with bus passes.

Bus passes? If grayboy really wants to polish up his environmental credentials for the Cali
tree-hugging, grass-eating crowd, he oughta opt for rickshaws......will do wonders for the greenhouse problem.

term limits are great. We just need to weed out the over growth and make it all a new. A new set of landscaping. It'll take years, but until then, term limits should weed out all the old horses(a$$es) and put in fresh meat, once the dumb down school educational system is back in sync with proper teachings before Ca circa 1960's.

"...Term Limits just made things worse, I believe!"

And you didn't even attribute that quote to me. Shame...
