Sacramento -- A day after the federal government opened a criminal probe into a California company that makes the diet drug ephedra, Gov. Gray Davis reversed his position and said the popular supplement should be regulated.

Davis, who has collected more than $100,000 in campaign contributions from Metabolife International Inc. since he became governor, sent a letter Friday to federal regulators saying he now plans to sign legislation regulating the drug.

More people have died from the effects of ephedra (ma huang is the natural plant, I believe) than from Marijuana.

Which is exactly why it must be regulated, taxed, banned, and lied about!

"Unfortunately, we can't just delete a portion of the legislation when it is on the governor's desk," she said. "This was the federal government's jurisdiction. We try to stay away from doing things on a state by state basis."

Well now that is RICH!

It looks if you are willing to donate to the Ulitmate Kali Fascist Davis, $100,000 you can do anything in California.

If you give Davis $100,000, you can:

1. Pollute California as an evil gasoline maker. (Tosco Refinery)

2. Sell California a database system that it doesn't need and can't get to work (Whoreacle).

3. Get CalPers to buy your future Wine from grapes not even planted on lands not even purchased.

4. Ignore a dangerous drug that is a known killer of people, Ethedra made by Metabolife International Inc..

5. Logging companies can clear cut old growth redwood trees.

6. Fill in the blank _____________________ with your favorite where a simple $100,000 donation to the Ultimate Fascist Davis can enable you to break laws, be a polluter, and enable you to market a drug that can kill people.

Davis is the most unethical person to have ever served as a governor of a major state. Yet, he is a hero to the maggot infested perverts who get a monthly check from the Rats to be able to live their perverted lives and voted several times for Davis.

Exactly spot on:

But Bonta insisted it was not that the administration wasn't concerned in 2000, but that the legislation was flawed.

Should have Read: But Bonta insisted it was not that the administration wasn't concerned in 2000, but that the price was not right.

If I was a criminal, and I had a flaky or dangerous product or service to sell. I would borrow $100,000 and have a meeting with one of Davis's little SS troopers and explain what I needed from them to enable me to sell that product or to make it in Kali.

While I was explaining this I would hand over an unsigned check to the "Re Elect the Fascist Davis Campaign" for $100,000. I'm sure that at the next meeting I would get assurances that if I signed and date that check, I would get what I wanted from the State of Kali to enable me to sell my flaky or dangerous product/service.

I went to the Fascists web site and got a copy of his executive order and emailed the site address to Simon's campaign with my concerns and a heads up.

I would urge everyone to do that.
