LOS ANGELES -- The rare voters who had the time or opportunity to catch Monday's noon gubernatorial debate between Gov. Gray Davis and his GOP rival Bill Simon would have found enough differences between the two to help them choose on Nov. 5.

Davis is full of BS, Help remove BS from Sacramento, vote for Simon!
No matter how much he sells out on gun issues, Simon won't get any the black vote, much of the Hispanic vote, any appreciable share of the Los Angeles or San Fran vote, any appreciable share of the gay or lesbian vote, or any appreciable share of the Jewish vote. But any sellout at all on guns - or on other social issues - will cost him all of the social conservatives and much of the total non-urban European-American vote he's depending on for any chance of victory; they won't vote Davis - instead, they just won't vote for anyone.
