[history]
Our state is in trouble. Big trouble. Our schools are failing, our power crisis is not solved and our finances are in the toilet. We need a Superman to save the day. What we get is a squeaky-clean Clark Kent look-alike who doesn't quite know how to run a campaign.

And yet they have a strange error in their article:
"Our economy is in the tank. Thanks to Simon, we're billions of dollars in the red."
To: sfwarrior
Way to go Adam! Nice screed, hope it helps.

Unless of course, you made the mistake and put it there.
By the way, good job on getting it published.

Excellent job! Hats off to you for writing such a fine article. I hope the people of California wake up and vote out the grey one. I have a lot of friends and relatives out there, decent people, who would like to see the state roused from its incense- and mantra-induced delusions.
To: JameRetief
Hmmm. That is a strange error. I have no comment on that other than we'll get that corrected!

Exactly! Typical of a left wing rag. Instead of blaming the incumbent for his mistakes, tag the challenger! And the Left Angles Times after four years of incompetence is still endorsing the Dimwit. DUMP DAVIS!

Thanks to Simon, we're billions of dollars in the red. Oops, that's supposed to be Davis :P but I see it's correct on the sfgate gate.
Anyhow, good article.

For an oncore see if you can get it published as a guest op ed in the SJ Merc Snooze. They say they welcome input editorials from readers... it would be a good counterbalance to "Caution marks Gov. Davis time in office" 10/22 endorsement.

Someone must have caught the mistake. I went to the website and the article correctly names Davis... "thanks to Davis our economy is billions of dollars in the red"...

Most excellent! BUMP this baby to the top!
To: sfwarrior
interesting that the title of the article "a view from the right"...I don't read the Chronicle regularly but I wonder if they title a column "a view from the left" often???
