[history]
Gov. Gray Davis and key Democrats in the state Legislature appear to have agreed on a political fix for the California Coastal Commission. Unfortunately, they've settled on the wrong one.
This commission teeters on edge -- OK, over the edge -- of constitutionality. That's because the Legislature appoints eight of its 12 board members. The board members decide on coastal development proposals up and down the state.

Remember the soviet union? Remember the commisars who ran things? These "commissions" are the infiltration of the communist system into the American government. Their whole purpose is to take decision making away from the people and give it to the elites.

How about abolishing it? I was living in California when this monstrosity was created, and it is big government at its worst.
