If we did I would suggest removing the torch and lifting a finger.

Thats right...we went to Vietnam after the Viet Cong kicked their sorry cheese at Diem Bien Phu. Then I think they sent some of their generals to Washington to work w McNamara(how else did we screw up in Nam)

Other French things to boycott: Perrier, Evian, Dijon mustard (esp those made in FrogLand), French movies, French language, French wines, the France Pavilion at Disney World's EPCOT Center

.....excerpted from "A Short List of French Military Victories".....

Hundred Years War - Mostly lost, saved at last by female schizophrenic who inadvertently creates The First Rule of French Warfare: "France's armies are victorious only when not led by a Frenchman."

American Revolution - In a move that will become quite familiar to future Americans, France claims a win even though the English colonists saw far more action. This is later known as "de Gaulle Syndrome", and leads to the Second Rule of French Warfare: "France only wins when America does most of the fighting."

French Revolution - Won, primarily due the fact that the opponent was also French.

The Napoleonic Wars - Lost. Temporary victories (remember the First Rule!) due to leadership of a Corsican, who ended up being no match for a British footwear designer.

The Franco-Prussian War - Lost. Germany first plays the role of drunk Frat boy to France's ugly girl home alone on a Saturday night.

World War I - Tied and on the way to losing, France is saved by the United States. Thousands of French women find out what it's like to not only sleep with a winner, but one who doesn't call her "Fraulein." Sadly, widespread use of condoms by American forces forestalls any improvement in the French bloodline.

.....I'm still laughing about the "French Revolution"....

We did fight one war with them--the Quasi-War or "Undeclared Naval War with France" following the XYZ Affair, back when John Adams was President. We probably would have had a declared war with them sooner or later if Napoleon had not decided to sell the Louisiana territory to the U.S.

Screw the french! The french of 1776 are different creatures from the sissified modern shadows.

Boycott frech champagne!! Make that a symbol!
Better yet start calling american sparkling wine, (which is the same animal as chanpagne just that the grapes are not from the champagne region of france) Champagne.

The way i see it if the french can steal the name feta cheese from the Greeks, the US wine makers can just as easily procure the GENERIC NAME Champagne to apply to ANY bubbly white wine.

The french may have their politics on the left but they keep their wallets on the right. Imagine how they would react if a bottle of Dom drops to 1/2 of what it goes for now? OR even better if they can't give the overated wine away?

Customer: Not much ca--It's the single most popular cheese in the world!
Owner: Not 'round here, sir.

Here's mine - off to look for more frenchy sites - suggestions welcome! Mssr. Pascale,

I ran across a reference to your site. Normally I'd happily bookmark such a site and return occasionally to place an order.

On 9-11-01 we were attacked. We are at war. It will be a long war. "You are either with us or you are with the terrorists". President George W. Bush (9-20-01 - or thereabout).

Jerry Lewis is an idiot. President Bush (Yale & Harvard), running rings around his dimocrat rivals and the world "leaders", is not.

However with the French government's position regarding our (and your) national security regarding Iraq and NATO (see Turkey ) - I will not even consider buying a French product.

We are not isolationists. We own a Toyota Land Cruiser and a Lexus LX 470 - (foreign trucks), we eat brie, snails, drink Veuve Cliquot, Cognac; etc.

No more. If its from france forget it.

Au revoire - sorry I only speak Spanish and English - its an attempt to say "Buh Bye!" in french..

(Th54)

PS: I'll continue to enjoy "french" fries as I understand they are an American invention. Not sure about "french" dressing though - I'll have to check on that one. Oh and one last thing - we're substituting the "Australian Kiss" for the "French Kiss" - its like the french kiss except its done "down under". ;)

All things considered its a definite improvement.
