Freeman claims her religious beliefs require her to keep her head and face covered out of modesty and that her faith prohibits her face from being photographed.

I wonder what her "religious beliefs" say about women driving cars.

Finally a Judge with some common sense. Who was the Judge and what is his political persuasion?

re:Freeman, a convert to Islam previously known as Sandra Kellar

Ya know, when this story got legs, I suspected this woman would turn out to be some sheissekopf white liberal.
I got a little patience for someone from a cultural that grew up with this pagan, absurd excuse for a religion (Islam's nothing more, really than an efficient method for controlling slaves), but for some reason seeing someone who should *know better* get into this crap... well. it just bites.
and is entirely predictable.

Or going out in public without a male family memeber escorting her.

You do not have a "right" to a driver's license. To obtain one, you must meet certain requirements etc.

If her religion prevents her from showing her face, one would think she had sufficient conviction in her beliefs to obtain alternate transportation.

Let me be the first to suggest a camel.

"But a state attorney countered that Islamic law has exceptions that allow women to lift their veil and expose their face if the action serves a public good. Assistant Attorney General Jason Vail said arrangements can be made to have Freeman photographed only with women present to allay her concerns about modesty."

So what the hell is this? Islamic law, whatever that is, doesn't trump US law. This should have no bearing on the case whatsoever. Sheesh!

Freeman and her husband had used their concerns about religious modesty to hinder them from looking for bruises on the girls

Trash like this even make Islam look bad!

The photo taker has appealed on the grounds that he would be subjected to cruel and unusual punishment, and that the industrial-strength camera lenses he'd have to use constitute an 'excessive fine'.

Perhaps, but as the song goes, she took it like a man!

She is a white lady who turned to Islam for who knows what reason. All I know is that she is using the Courts to spit on American freedom. This is just big PR stunt for Islam. She wants the USA to conform our laws to be compatible with Islam...Well I for one won't let America turn into another France. I am glad this Judge put an end to this potentially slipper-slope of favoratism and concessions of laws for the Islam belief (sic).
