Barack Obama has bought a half-hour of prime network time tonight to give the voters one last chance to look at him as a presidential candidate.
I have an idea: Each time Obama proposes a program that will expand government by a billion dollars, take a drink. My guess is that you will be pretty drunk in the first 15 minutes, and completely bombed by the end of the program.
Speaking of power, the Obama Democrats are already drunk on power, and they havent even won yet.
They have planned a transition, written an inaugural speech, ordered the drapes, hired the movers. They have done everything but won an election.
And it is not clear to me that Obama will win. The polls are closing and Bill McInturffs memo has completely freaked out the media.
By buying this much ad time, Obama puts the spotlight right back on himself. If he comes into everyones living room tonight and starts bashing McCain, the Obama show will be a flop.
But if he chooses to outlines his policies for the American people, he also faces great risk. A half-hour is a long time to dance around the fact that his plans represent a sharp break from free-market capitalism, a philosophy that has served the country pretty well for the last couple hundred years.
That the Obama show is brought to you by one of the biggest lies of the campaign is symbolic of this campaign in general. Obama lied when he said that he would take public financing. Of course, once he discovered that he didnt need no stinkin public financing, he ditched it like a piece of used tissue. The Obama show is a stark reminder of his broken promise. What other promises will he break?
My guess is that his next broken promise will come with his plans on taxes. He first promised that if you made less than $250,000, you would see a tax cut. Then he said that if you made less than $200,000, you would see a tax cut. Joe Biden let slip that the actual number is $150,000. That number is sinking faster than housing prices in Orange County!
Obama and the Democrats have gambled that the American people are so drunk with rage at George Bush and Republicans, they would vote for just about anybody.
Will independent voters and Reagan Democrats sober up in time to make the more responsible vote? Some polls seem to show that may be the case.
In the meantime, stay tuned. And if you are going to watch the Obama show tonight, make sure you play the Obama drinking game. If for no other reason, it will get you good and drunk in about a half-hour or less.

No way am I going to watch.
I will bet it will get way fewer viewers than Sarah Palin got on SNL.
IF it is the one I saw, it could backfire on him. Especially the part about waving the American flag, since everyone knows he hates the American flag. You don't postpone the World Series just because Obama wants to brag about what a wonderful person he is. THAT could cost him a few votes. He's been in our face for two years and I honestly think people are sick of him. I know I am.
I don't drink, but I may start tonight. lol..
“Middle class”
I’ll be watching the Warriors/Hornets game. Every time the Warriors give up a fast break point I will take a drink.
Oh I’m having vino, but not on the terrorist’s time.
The description on the tv menu is very misleading.
I didn’t hear or see any evidence of “Obama’s Plan For America”.
He doesn’t have one.
America as we know it won’t exist if he has his way.
Stanley’s revenge is a bitter pill.
There is a World Series game tonight and unfortunately many people will be watching that. I want as many voters as possible exposed to this Socialists overkill.
I hope it interrupts a lot of the favorite programs. With all the money he is spending I am sure many people have reached their 0bama saturation points. This little infomercial tonight should be enough to make them sick of him. Just a little ostentatious Marxist goes a long way. :)
They should have been burned out at least 6 months ago then.
He’s a commie’s crack.
>>>I’d rather watch a 24 hour marathon of Cop Rock.
you have a strong stomach or you’re going to put it on mute.
Strategically, that's all he can do. If he brings up old subjects, he invites Team McCain to attack him at those points, forcing Obama to go on the defense again.
Based on the history of this campaign, when he goes on defense, he loses voters.
But if he attacks McCain, he forces McCain to play defense, and McCain playing defense in the last 6 days of the campaign could be terminal.
But what do I know? I'm probably wrong.
maybe I can talk the cat into a game of Apples to Apples, no, probably not. He has a date.
it’s gonna be a replay of his German speech, he is a one trick pony, what else has he got to say?
Failed Bush Policies
I especially liked when he applauded himself at the end of his Germany speech. That was such a high point for me.
(Do I really have to add the sarcasm tag?)
I just can’t decide whether he will be in a setting that implies the Oval Office or just the White House.
See how many drinks it takes before Obama starts sounding like a reasonable moderate. Then you will have numbed enough brain cells to know how it feels to go through life as an average Obama supporter.
Ditto here.
I'm going out to watch the grass grow instead.
No plans to watch. I am going to help give Pushing Daisies great ratings on ABC
McCain has a campaign ad that is going to be on right before and after the infomercial! Looks like a good one!
