Palin gives strong indication of 2012 presidential run

Tea Party favorite Sarah Palin gave the strongest indication yet that she is preparing a 2012 White House bid, saying Thursday she would run for president "if there is nobody else to do it."

The former Republican vice presidential candidate, who was lampooned in the media for her political naivety in the hard-fought final weeks of the 2008 campaign, is now among the most popular conservative politicians in America.

Palin, who left office midway through her first term in office as governor of Alaska, told Entertainment Tonight it would take someone willing "to make the tough choices and not care what the critics are going to say about you.

"It's going to entail a discussion with my family (and) a real close look at the lay of the land, to consider whether there are those with that common sense, conservative, pro-Constitution passion.

"If there's nobody else to do it, then of course I would believe that we should do this," she told the TV show, a Hollywood publicity machine, in an interview from her home in Wasilla, Alaska.

The 45-year-old mother of five was little known nationally until she burst onto the political scene when Arizona senator John McCain chose her as his shock running mate in August 2008.

Palin announced in July 2009 that she was resigning as Alaska governor, 18 months before completing her first term, providing a puzzling explanation that it was due to frivolous ethics complaints against her...

I am getting sick of these comments like “political naivety” “inexperienced,” when as formor Governor of Alaska she has had a lot more experience than our current POTUS.

The most major thing we need is a presidential candidate who is not tied to banking or oil interests, and is not a member of the CFR. Palin qualifies and there might be a couple of others.

I can imagine that it would be a tough decision for Sarah to transport her family to D.C. for four years. They really, really love Alaska. And Todd...well what would Todd do there? They’d have to create a sort of Camp David north in Wasilla to keep sane.

I think Sarah’s getting across what a sacrifice it would be for them to do it. I’d like for her to be more enthusiastic about the possibility. But I can see her point. And I really want her to run. But this ‘if there’s no one else to do it’ kind of bothers me. I think she’s the only one who will do the really tough stuff to get things done. But what if she thinks someone else can? Argh.

But can’t you see it? Todd could be promoting snow machine racing in Southeast DC. He could lead moose hunts in Rock Creek Park. There are so many possibilities.

The woman is quite simply impossibly beautiful.

No wonder Pudge Rove hates her so. Even in his most dazzling evening attire and glittering jewels, he is simply no match for Sarah.

This lady knew, she saw the good ol’ boys club up there in Alaska, and she went in and kicked azz. She became Governor against odds, and she made right some wrongs.

Today we are seeing in MurCOWsky, and others the resurrection of the good ol’ boys club. They are telling us she was right about them all along.

We have the same problem in the RINO infested GOP, and the Democrat, and RINO infested Congress in D.C.

So why NOT Sarah?

Please don’t get me wrong, but she’s not ready...yet. This coming from a guy that wrote in Bolton/Palin in 2008 rather than cast my vote for McRINO.

If she runs, Mrs. panax and I will support her. Can she beat the Hilde-beast?

If Hillary is the democratic nominee, what percentage of the black voters stay home? How does a Democrat win without that voting bloc?

A little welcome present for the left upon hearing Madam President's intentions:

Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

"and is now among the most popular conservative politicians in America."

Thats a bit of an overstatement. Those who like her really like her and those who hate her really hate her. And the largest bunch of people claim to dislike her in an attempt to be phaux-sophisticated, based on what they saw on SNL.

But 70% of republicans vs perhaps 10-15% of republicans and 100% of ‘rats, not counting independents...

More people are warming towards Palin, and hopefully tha trend will continue, but she's definitely got an uphill battle to fight.
