Nick, I still don’t understand the context of your point, but I apologize anyway for overreacting.
FWIW, I have no intention of defending Newt’s failures which are plentiful and some egregious. Certainly, what I like about Newt has nothing to do with these failings. For our mutually benefit, I regret commenting on partiality — it was an invitation for the obvious, and I don’t have the energy, patience, nor desire to defend whom I like and why. FRegards.

So, I know nothing about this default. I often give USPS a pass because it’s self-funded through postage revenues, and funds its pensions far in advance — at least that’s what I was told.
Well one week ago fox news and abc news reported another 3.2 billion dollar loss for the last quarter and someone is going to have to bail them out... and obama has never met a public service union that he would not bail out... even if they didn’t need it. My point is that the US government cannot run anything without ****ing it up. NASA... the US MAIL... the US MILITARY (repeal of DADT) and on and on. They are an infection... a cancer... they need to be exactly what the Founders intended and not one single bit more.
