I notice that you are from Costa Rica. Well, I’m a born and bred Texan and have lived in Texas for most of my life.

I can tell you from first hand experience, Perry is NOT always a conservative.

He’s done some things right, but he’s done a lot of things wrong, too. The worst thing he tried to do IMHO, was to try to divide the state in half from north to south with his proposal for a gargantuan highway which would have put hundreds of thousands of people out of work, and taken their land. Thank God that proposal was voted down.

Of course there the Gardasil thingee that I’m sure you are aware of.........

But the thing that right now bugs me the worst if his proposals for the illegal aliens inhabiting Texas right now. I don’t have the answer to that problem, but I know the answer is NOT anything he has proposed........

Hah, basil.

I am not from Costa Rica. I was born in Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas. I just got tired of the Texas messages.

Perry isn’t perfect, but he’s been a good governor and done a lot of things I like. He’s been blamed unfairly for the porous border which is supposed to be a national responsibility but, of course, Obama has done nothing.

Perry has a plan involving some fencing, drones ... I don’t remember all the facets of it, but I do know he went to Israel to consult them about border security and he is a strong supporter of Israel.

Some of his plans have been unpopular ... the highway for example (never heard of him trying to split the state???). I didn’t think that was so horrible. Highways always take a little land from people but they are well compensated. We’d have no roads at all if that wasn’t done.

I know foreign interests were gonna front the money. In return we’d get the much needed road and they would get the tolls. But nobody had to use the road or pay the tolls. Well, that didn’t pass.

The gardisal thing is way overblown. He didn’t do it for some sort of deal with Merck ... they gave him something like five thousand dollars, drop in the bucket. I think he and his wife honestly thought it would protect children.

Surely everyone knows that the state (as most states) requires mandatory vaccinations for many diseases, a little different thing granted as they could be communicable but still not an unheard of practice. Also, parents could opt out. This plan died in Texas but other states are considering in.

Texas is full of Mexicans, as you know. Someone from Massachusetts or even Georgia criticizing Perry on this should walk in his boots for a couple of days. He says his main objective is to close the border. I don’t know if it can be done without federal help, it’s a dang long border, but if Perry were elected, we’d have federal help. hello?

I don’t worship Perry but I think he’s our best hope. I don’t trust Cain and I sure don’t trust Romney.
